Bet On Ferrari In Singapore The Best Chance Vettel Will Get

With Mercedes just so dominant it becomes easy to forget there are actually other cars on the track with a chance of winning and as the F1 circus skips across the globe to one of the few circuits they don’t do so well at, the Marina Bay track in Singapore, it might be time to bet on Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel to repeat his numerous previous wins.

Singapore Grand Prix

  • Lewis Hamilton – 11/8
  • Daniel Ricciardo – 10/3
  • Nico Rosberg – 10/3
  • Max Verstappen – 6/1
  • Sebastian Vettel – 9/1

There was a moment last year when we all thought the highlight of the Singapore Grand Prix was going to be the live broadcast of a human being getting hit by a Formula One car traveling at near top speed. The 27 year old man who stumbled across the track mid-race was deemed by the authorities to be “Crazy” a sentiment you can bet on Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel sharing as he blew by the interloper and went on to win for the fourth time in five years rather than vaporizing a member of the public live on TV.

Singapore gambling laws, despite being flexible enough to allow the odd sporting wager, do not allow for people to bet on Ferrari drivers hitting idiots so we shall, alas, probably have to weigh up the chances of the blood red car of Vettel repeating his victory of last year despite the ever more manifest superiority of the Mercedes cars. Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg have run away with the season and whilst the new owner of F1 might shake things up in due course, right now it looks like it’ll be a very close race.

Bet on Ferrari In Singapore At Bet365

Those that like to bet on Ferrari should note Sebastian Vettel won three times in Singapore for Red Bull between 2011-2013 but this weekend they’re hoping their drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen will be able to demonstrate they too can win on a track that doesn’t give Mercedes the long straights it prefers. The Singapore Grand Prix has one of the longest laps and almost certainly the most humid so it’s a grueling two hours race for the drivers, and running at night it looks like a crazy Vegas mobile racing game, the paintwork’s reflections just a little too glaring under the bright lights of the track.

“It’s not going to be an easy-breezy drive.” Lewis Hamilton confirmed reminding everyone that his win in 2014 “wasn’t straightforward.” and then admitting “Monza didn’t quite go to plan.” Which would sound a lot better if he hadn’t come second anyway. Mercedes domination is such they only plan on winning and whilst for anyone else that might be arrogance for those two it’s just statistics. But does that mean if you want to bet on sports in Singapore this weekend you shouldn’t bet on Ferrari?

The Odds Are Against It But Will Vettel Win Anyway?

Well the bookies like Bet365 don’t believe a bet on Ferrari is worth it. They’re of the opinion that the Mercedes duo still have the best odds with current championship leader Hamilton getting 11/8 and Nico Rosberg, just two points behind on the table, is garnering 10/3 but so is the Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo, so apparently it’s a three way fight between them for the podium places, because Max Verstappen is next at 6/1 actually well clear of Vettel on 9/1. This actually makes him a tidy wager.

F1 World Championship

  • Lewis Hamilton – 2/9
  • Nico Rosberg – 10/3
  • Anyone Else – 500/1+

Sure, his performance this season has been below par, and nor has Kimi Raikkonen shown much more than promise this year either, but on a track better suited to the car and with all those wins under his belt the bookies might well be being just slightly mean there and providing a great opportunity for a bet on Ferrari and if the Singapore gambling news headlines on Monday are of his winning you’ll be glad you stopped off at Bet365 to back him, and if there’s a race Vettel might win this season, this is the one.
