Sportsbooks all over the world give greatest chances to Cavendish for winning the UCI Road World Championship 2016.

As the 2016 UCI Road World Championship is coming closer to the start the excitement around the races grows further. Internet betting sites in the Netherlands note that this will be the 89th edition of this prestigious event in the cycling world which for the first time will be hold in Doha and the Middle East. Cyclists from all over the world will compete for what is commonly known as the “world cycling champion” title, currently in the hands of the Slovak, Peter Sagan.

Although the roosters of the teams are still in a phase of completion many stars are already on their way there with their national teams. Thus, the Olympic medalists from Rio, Anna van der Breggen and Tom Dumoulin already announced that they will lead the Dutch team in Doha in the individual time trial as well as in the road race. Their aim is familiar to everybody: gold for the Netherlands on the world championship in Doha

The betting odds for the individual men’s category

The sportsbooks worldwide already come up with some odds concerning the competition. Online sportsbooks in Australia such as Sportsbet give 5.50 odds to the British Mark Cavendish for the win, giving him a little advantage between the second and the third favorite Andre Greipel and Peter Sagan, both evaluated on 6.00. Other sportsbooks, such as bwin, are rather a bit “silent” about the favorite in the men’s competition. They give equal chances to Cavendish, Sagan and Greipel evaluating them all with betting odds 5.00. The German, Marcel Kittel is close to the trio with 8.00 as well as the Norwegian Alexander Kristoff with 11.00.
