Denmark Adds Three More Gambling Companies to the Collection

The Danish Online Gambling Association has permitted licenses to three more additional online gambling business and granted them permission to begin online betting operations in the country, according to the very latest Denmark gambling news.

Since the change to the Danish gambling laws in December 2011, which saw the creation of the Danish Online Gambling Authority, the association has grown exponentially with the increase of licenses being assigned and distributed to several top online gambling businesses.

Betsson, Bet 24 and Ladbrokes are the three newest additions to the Danish Online Gambling Associations impressive list of approved and licensed online gambling sites, that players in Denmark are legally allowed to wager at. The three join existing licensees, Bet365, Unibet, Betfair and Sportingbet as the only current legalized online sportsbooks in Denmark.

Speaking about their organization on their own website, the Danish Online Gambling Association stated that “gambling is a legitimate leisure activity that provides harmless entertainment for the vast majority of its consumers, who should be given the option to choose from a wide range of licensed, reputable and responsible Danish-licensed operators. Appropriate levels of licensing and regulation can address all of the potential risks associated with gambling - both online and offline - irrespective of whether it is provided by state or private sector operators.”

Morten Ronde is the current Chief Executive at the Danish Online Gambling Association. Mr. Ronde has over twelve years of experience in private and public sectors, and was the recipient of The European Regulator Of The Year award from the International Masters of Gaming Law in 2010. It is widely rumored that his contribution has been paramount to the success of the DOGA.

The principle policies of the DOGA have been praised in recent months, with the association themselves claiming to strive for responsible gaming for money, and the need to protect youngsters and other vulnerable groups from being exploited the power and addictiveness of gambling, both online and offline.

Their recent online sportsbook acquisitions are reported to be proof of their intent, as all are big name brands, names that clients can bet on sports with.
