GeoComply’s CEO, Anna Sainsbury, defends online gambling users of the company’s geo-location services in Washington D.C.

GeoComply which offers regulators and operators a reliable, secure and user-friendly solution for the geo-location of online users stood up for online poker players in the US as the company’s CEO Anna Sainsbury testified recently in Washington D.C. .

She represented GeoComply in a presentation called “How Does Technology Ensure Online Gaming Compliance?”. The company which is licensed under US gambling law by the Nevada Gaming Control Board to provide geo-location solutions to approved operators in that market, has also been approved by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

It is also a founding member in the genesis of pooled poker liquidity in Nevada and Delaware, providing both states’ iGaming markets with geo-location technology. The hearing was hosted in the Hall of States and the CEO was backed by representatives of licensed online gambling operator icon, Caesars Entertainment, and the player-oriented lobby group, the Poker Players Alliance.

GeoComply USA obtained its Delaware Gaming License and can now be able to provide geo-location services to Delaware operators. Sainsbury’s testimony took place before gambling news reps, a few hours prior to the hearing of the Restoration of America’s Wire Act (RAWA) bill.

This bill is an anti-iGaming proposal introduced by Congressman Jason Chaffetz and backed by Sheldon Adelson, a staunch opposer of online gambling in the US. Sainsbury spoke about the positive impact of geo-location which guarantees a safe and secure online gaming environment in regulated territories.

Sainsbury said that “We intend to make sure players’ voices are heard and that they are not silenced by opponents of online poker in the United States. This demonstration will help debunk some damaging and often unfounded claims propagated by these opponents. We’re thrilled to receive our license in Delaware and have the ability to offer Delaware operators our accurate, user-friendly and secure geo-location solutions“.
