Jesse McEuen Wins His First WSOP Bracelet

After three slow years, the online poker player from Jacksonville won $212,093 in the $1,500 buy-in Ante-Only NLHE race .

Jesse McEuen arrived at the American poker room in Las Vegas in his car, with a dog and a bare minimum cash fund in his pocket. The 34 year-old poker pro got a financial boost from his fellow player John Kabbaj and turned it into gold.

The $1,500 buy-in Ante-Only No Limit Hold’Em tournament or event 47 of this year’s World Series of Poker drew a field of 714 players, but Jesse McEuen made his way to first place, claiming his first WSOP bracelet and a cash prize of $212,093.

Competing against pros

According to the latest gambling news, the field included top players like Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Ryan D’Angelo, Antoine Saout, Maria Ho, Jason Somerville, Max Silver and Dan Kelly, all competing for a share of the $963,900 prize pool.

With so many good players at the table, this was a seriously competitive tournament, but McEuen surprised everyone by eliminating his rivals and pocketing the fantastic $212,093 prize.
