Jhonas Enroth has Signed with Toronto Maple Leafs

Jhonas Enroth has signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs for a one year deal, the team’s spokesperson confirmed today

Swedish goalkeeper Jhonas Enroth has been playing in the NFL for over 10 years. He has been a member of some of the sport’s biggest teams, most recently playing for the Los Angeles Kings and registering a 7-5-1 record with a .922 save percentage over 16 games.

It was reported today that that Jhonas Enroth has signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs, one of the most popular teams out of Canada. The Maple Leafs have been experiencing a major shake-up in their lineup over the past few years, most notably trading their former starter Jonathan Bernier to the Anaheim Ducks for a conditional pick.

Enroth’s contract with the Maple Leafs is for one year, with a $750,000 salary cap. The Swedish NHL veteran will most likely be brought on as a backup goalkeeper for Frederik Andersen. The Maple Leafs GM, Lou Lamoriello, recently praised Enroth’s abilities, and feels he will be a good addition to the team.
