Resorts World Manila and other integrated resorts of Entertainment City can create a huge economic boost for both the gambling and the tourism industry.

Integrated resorts, such as Entertainment City in the Philippines, are the most fashionable projects for those enterprises who wish to enter both the gambling and the tourism industry at the same time. They take place on extremely large properties, and include top quality restaurants, casinos, entertainment and other facilities in addition to luxury hotels. The pure aim is to satisfy all the needs of those who wish to visit one of the integrated resorts.

• The Philippines is a popular touristic place
• New integrated resorts could make it even more popular
• Entertainment City will be improved in the near future

Integrated resorts are quite similar to regular gambling and hospitality resorts. The only difference is that they are much larger, and much more expensive to build and to operate. The term “integrated resort” comes from Las Vegas Sand Corp’s Chairman and CEO, Sheldon Adelson, who started using the expression back in the 1990s. Mobile betting sites report that the businessman was running the most famous and biggest gambling hub in the world at the time.

The first integrated resorts in the world were opened in Macau and Singapore. These facilities were mostly visited by Asian high rollers, who enjoyed spending time and money at large casino resorts in great luxury. Upon seeing the success in the business, officials in the Philippines decided that they will build integrated resort in the island country as well.

The Philippines has a lot to offer to international tourists as the country is full of beautiful landscapes. It is situated in the western part of the Pacific Ocean. The Southeast Asian country consists of more than 7,000 islands. All of these islands come with breathtaking beaches. In addition, the weather in the Philippines can also be attractive to foreigners, and there are several other things in the country that would amaze each and every tourist.

Tourism is increasing as the country is becoming more and more well-known in the world. Online gambling sites in the Philippines report that there were more than 2.6 million international tourists in the island country, according to the latest figures released by Philippine Department of Tourism. This is a 1.2% growth compared to the figures of 1 year ago, when only 2,4 million international tourists visited the Philippines.

Gambling is also quite an attractive activity for those tourists who decide to travel to the Southeast Asian country. However, the gambling industry is not in its best moments right now as the largest gaming providers in Entertainment City have reported loss in their net profits for the first half of the year.

Setting up integrated resorts in the island country is an extremely popular idea because the Philippines has always been famous for its active participation in the gambling industry. Many people from Asia come here in order to spend a lot of money in the best casinos of Resorts World Manila.

In June 2015, the Philippines was visited by 390,486 international tourists. According to the released data of the Philippine Department of Tourism, Korean visitors have spent a total of PHP 5.4 billion, while US tourists were the second biggest spenders in June by leaving PHP 3.8 billion on the island.

Taiwanese travelers have also spent PHP 758 million, while Japanese and Chinese tourists paid PHP 747 million and PHP 733 million respectively. Most income of the Philippines comes from the Asian region, but they are rather well-known in the United States as well, and setting up new integrated resorts could only boost all these numbers.

However, Philippine gambling news report that the country’s largest enterprises in the gambling industry are suffering from great loss of income this term. Resorts World Manila, the first integrated resort in the island, is run by Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. They have reported a decline of 46.5% in net profit.

The first integrated resort of Entertainment City opened on 28 August, 2009. Resorts World Manila was the only integrated resort in the Philippines for a few years.

They were extremely successful, according to the reports by online gambling websites. The integrated resort features 3 luxury hotels under the brand names of the Maxims, the Remington and the Marriot. These 3 hotels together offer more than 1,500 hotel rooms, where gambling enthusiasts can sleep in perfect comfort after playing at Resorts World Manila’s 30,000 square-foot casino.

The second integrated resort in the Philippines was opened in March 2013. Solaire Resort & Casino, which is operated by Bloomberry Resorts and Hotels, Inc., is a large territory situated in the Entertainment City which is a 100-hectare gaming place in the Manila Bay area.

More than 5,000 hotel rooms can be found at Solaire Resort & Casino. In addition, several restaurants and entertainment facilities satisfy the visitors’ needs. Solaire Resort & Casino is the first “member” of Entertainment City’s 4 integrated resorts. The following ones will be built and operated in the near future, until then gamblers can enjoy the above-mentioned 2 integrated resorts.
