NYX Set to Deliver PokerStars in Romania

NYX Gaming Group has made headlines this week by officially announcing that they will begin offering PokerStars in Romania.

One of the world’s market leading content and technology suppliers, NYX Gaming, has announced this week that they will be launching a PokerStars domain in Romania. NYX received their Class 2 license from the government back in June, which allows the sale of online gaming platforms to gambling operators inside the country.

The new PokerStars.RO domain will offer players a wide range of games from NYX Studios, including “Foxin Wins,” “Jackpot Jester 50,000,” and “James Dean.” PokerStars has become the largest online poker website since its launch in 2001, and their online casino recently made Romanian gambling news by becoming the world’s largest in terms of active players.

NYX Gaming Commercial Director David Johnson seems happy with the expansion into Romania, stating, “It’s great to see that PokerStars.RO will launch in Romania with proven quality NextGen content; this is further evidence of the strong relationship between NYX and PokerStars.”

What other gambling websites can you access in Romania?

Online gambling became formally legal in Romania in October of 2013. Since that time, a number of local gaming websites have begun operating here, but PokerStars in Romania is unquestionably the largest.

Sam Hobcraft, director of casino at Amaya, the parent-company of PokerStars, is excited about the future of online gaming in Europe, and is pleased with the partnership with NYX Gaming. “We are pleased to have games from NYX on our new PokerStars.RO domain; the launch of a full license in Romania will aid our goal of assuming a leadership position in online casino across Europe.” He said.
