If you want to try out new gambling destinations and are bored by the plain old gambling menu starring Las Vegas, check out our list!

Ever wondered where else you could go when it comes to gambling? We did, many times. So we decided to select some of the best cities to spend time gambling in.

Doesn’t Las Vegas seem a bit old and predictable? Of course, Vegas, we love you too, you’re an amazing and a colorful, lively city, but we need some space and time away from you.

• Gamble somewhere else than Vegas
• Exotic and aristocratic destinations
• Gambling experience of a lifetime

We want to seek adventure. And novelty. And when we did that, we’ll come back to you, we promise. Just let us experience something exciting and new, okay? Thanks.

Monte Carlo, Monaco

Ah oui, la Riviera Française… If I close my eyes, I can picture myself riding shotgun on the seacoast in an Aston Martin and huge sunglasses, with James Bond sitting next to me. Why did I bring the English charmer into this? The Casino de Monte Carlo is the one he, too, has been to. I’d love to sit in a Monaco poker room and feel the whole James Bondy- vibe.

According to Frommers, the casino is extremely elegant and you can play whatever might come to your mind: English roulette, Blackjack, or try out some of the slot machines in the ravishing Salle Blanche. Each day, the casino opens its illustrious door at 2 in the afternoon. A fun fact: people in military and religious uniforms are not allowed to enter.

Enghien-les-Bains, France

In the Northern suburbs of Paris, there lies a little place called Enghien-les-Bains with a beautiful lake in it. On the shore of this delightful lake, is the Casino Barrière, an Art Deco jewellery box whose atmosphere captivates everyone entering it.

It first opened in 1901, and is one of the largest casinos in the vicinity of Paris. In total, there are 44 gaming tables with an emphasis on roulette, but you can also play games such as Baccarat and Stud poker. If you’re more into slot machines, you have 280 to chose from. Remember, since this is a high-end place, formal attire is required.

Macau, China

If you are looking for something truly exotic and special, visit Macau. Forget mobile casinos, go big. On the “Strip,” a piece of land developed to give home to world-renowned casinos, you can find the largest of them all (and here, I mean the largest in the whole wide world), The Venetian.

According to Frommers, it has a colossal number of 3,000 hotel rooms, 1,150 gaming tables, 7,000 slot machines and a vast choice of amenities: mini-golf, gondolas, shops, a play aprk for children, an entertainment area that can hold 15,000 people and so on and so forth. Basically, it is the best of the best, the largest of the largest, and honestly, a must-see/experience for every gambler.

Baden-Baden, Germany

Although the name of this town does not necessarily point towards gambling, the place famous for its historic baths also is famous for the Baden-Baden Casino. It is located in Germany, but resembles a French royal residence. It is 200 years old and served as a place where Europe’s aristocrats gathered.

Currently, there are 24 gaming tables and around a hundred slot machines, but visitors can also take a stab at playing some German poker or Blackjack. Many tourists visit this casino even if they don’t play, to admire the architectural design.

Venice, Italy

Also a Bond movie star, Venice boasts of the first gaming house in the western world, built in 1638. In total, there are six constantly operating casinos that really echo the atmosphere of the famous city loved by so many people. The preeminent of them all is the Ca’ Vendramin, which opened in the 1950s.

It is the classical renaissance palace and gave home to the Doges. There are many games to be played here, too: Fair and French Roulette, Chemin de Fer, TrenteetQuarante and some 500 other games. It also has a floor full of slot machines, so gamblers will surely enjoy leaving their mobile casino gambling habits behind…even four a couple of nights.
