There Are Tour de France Bets Galore At Bet365 This Weekend

Described variously as a carefully concocted regional tourist brochure or multi-coloured sperm on drugs and two wheels, the Tour de France is back for the 104th time of asking as a 22 team peloton attempts to see how developed WADA s detection regime is this year. Obviously no one watches the Tour de France betting the riders will all be clean, that would be silly, but as the constant rumble of scandal continues to haunt this hallowed event is “Le Tour” in danger of becoming it’s own bad joke?

Tour de France 2017

• July 1st – 23rd
• Stages – 21
• Distance – 3,540km
• Teams – 22
• Begin – Dusseldorf
• End – Paris

The organizers of the Tour de France betting the drug scandals have fallen away leaving a wonderful sporting occasion is entirely natural, but the degree to which the public still associate the name Lance Armstrong with the sport is such that the trust has manifestly drained away, the cynics bolstered by every new press report, typically of no more than accusations. Can this once great sport every be rid of the reputation it has? Probably not. Sadly the damage has been done and now it’s all quite suspect.

2017 Tour de France Winner

• Romain Bardet – 22/1
• Alejandro Valverde – 22/1
• Jakob Fuglsang – 16/1
• Fabio Aru – 14/1
• Alberto Contador – 14/1
• Nairo Quintana – 13/2
• Richie Porte – 7/4
• Chris Froome – 5/4

The harsh glare of media attention rarely highlights the good in anyone, tending instead to throw the bad into stark relief and tar all with the same eerie glowing brush. These days the testing regime for cyclists is no less than totalitarian and if they are developing ways to cheat despite the checks upon them they probably deserve to win. Of course some would say this makes a mockery of the Tour de France betting, that if you must bet on sports in France there are other better options at Bet365. But is that really true?

3,540km In 22 Days On 2 Wheels? It Must Be The Tour de France

King Of The Mountains

• Nairo Quintana – 22/1
• Alberto Contador – 22/1
• Thomas De Grendt – 12/1
• Pierre Rolland – 11/1
• Rafal Majka – 6/1
• Thibaut Pinot – 10/3

Certainly were I asked to ride 3,540km in less than 23 days I’d probably want to be on drugs, if not the back of a trailer, however this is what these guys do and there are some superb athletes in the saddle this year providing a range of Tour de France bets at Bet365 where it’s not just the overall winner you can back. Take for instance the Sprint winner, or Green Jersey holder, will anyone get the better of Peter Sagan and his 1/ 2? Can Marcel Kittel at 12/5 surprise him or will Arnaud Demare storm on from 11/1 to grab it?

Then what of the King of the Mountains? Another of the superb Tour de France bets where just about everyone is chasing Thibaut Pinot who is sitting at 10/3 well ahead of Rafal Majka who gets just 6/1 and Pierre Rolland at 11/1 to take the Polka Dot Jersey (although you might think that Thomas De Gendt only getting 12/1 is a bit mean and worth taking advantage of French gambling laws to back at least each way in this competition to see who can cycle up ridiculously steep mountains the quickest.

Whole Range Of Tour de France Bets At Bet365 This Weekend

Of course the big deal is the overall winner and in a peloton that brings together experience and youth in equal measure there’s only one team that’s racing for the first time, the Wanty-Groupe Gobert, so it should be quite the paced race. Romain bardet and Alejandro Valverde both garner 22/1 at Bet365 to take the race win, and as Tour de France bets go they’re not bad longshots, although Jakob Fuglsang at 16/1 and Fabio Aru at 14/1 are both very tempting opportunities as is Alberto Contador at the same odds.

Green Jersey Winner

• Mark Cavendish – 18/1
• Dylan Groenewegen – 14/1
• Andre Greipel – 14/1
• Arnaud Demare – 11/1
• Marcel Kittel – 12/5
• Peter Sagen – 1/2

Up at the front however, at least in the view of Bet365, are the familiar names of Nairo Quintana (who gets 13/2 to win this one) and Richie Porte at 7/4 and both are in with a very good shout but they’ll still have to get by the man in form, Chris Froome who with great team support looks likely to grab the yellow jersey and keep it. Bet365 make him one of the best Tour de France bets at just 5/4 to be the winner and if you’re French gambling news from Paris will be of a clean race this year, try to retain that sense of humour. You’ll need it.
