There are so many options to choose from, but this list will focus on the top 3 biggest UFC fights to bet on in 2017.

We’re only a few months in 2017, and a number of important UFC fights have already taken place. There are some huge bouts scheduled to happen over the next few months, but in this article we’ll take a look at three of the biggest.

Bet on Stipe Miocic vs. Junior Dos Santos

2017 MMA betting odds

  • Stipe Miocic: 8/15 vs. Junior Dos Santos: 6/4
  • George St. Pierre: 8/13 vs. Michael Bisping: 5/4
  • Cody Garbrandt: 4/6 vs. TJ Dillashaw: 11/10

On May 13th, the heavyweight championship of the world will be on the line when Stipe Miocic attempts to defend his belt against the last man to beat him, Junior Dos Santos. These two last fought in December of 2014 in what was one of the best fights that year.

Since losing the aforementioned fight to Dos Santos, Stipe Miocic has been on an absolute tear. He stopped Mark Hunt and Andrei Arlovski with strikes before earning a title shot against Brazilian champion Fabricio Werdum. Despite entering that fight as a considerable underdog by nearly all online sportsbooks in the UK, Miocic KO’d Werdum just 2:47 into the first round. He most recently defended his belt for the first time with another 1st round KO over Alistair Overeem.

Junior Dos Santos reigned as heavyweight champ from November of 2011 to December of 2012. Since then he’s had a rocky road, losing by stoppage to both Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum, causing some to ponder whether he still had what it takes to compete at the highest level. He silenced those doubters with a recent thrashing of Ben Rothwell, and now has his chance to earn the belt again in May.

The betting lines for this bout, one of the biggest UFC fights to bet on in 2017, are now set, and it’s the current champ who’s entering as the slight betting favorite. Miocic’s odds to beat Dos Santos are set at 8/15, while Dos Santos’ odds to win come in at 6/4, according to PaddyPower.

Bet on GSP vs. Michael Bisping

We recently announced that you can already bet on GSP vs. Bisping, but it’s simply too big of a fight not to mention again. The legendary George St. Pierre will be returning for the first time since 2013 to take on current middleweight champion Michael Bisping. This is one of the biggest UFC fights to bet on in 2017 for a number of reasons.

GSP is considered by some to be the best MMA fighter of all time. He racked up nine straight title defenses at welterweight before announcing his departure from the sport to “take care of a few things.” It seems he’s now ready to return, and will be fighting at 185 pounds for the first time in his career.

Bisping is one of the most experienced fighters in the sport. For a time it seemed like he would never earn a title shot, but through a series of bizarre circumstances, he was granted a shot at Luke Rockhold’s belt in June of 2016, and shocked the world by winning via a 1st round KO. Bisping has made no illusions about the fact that he’s now actively seeking money fights, and has perhaps the biggest fight imaginable coming up against GSP.

Despite giving up considerable size, and the fact that he’s not competed in nearly 4 years, GSP is entering this bout as the betting favorite according to PaddyPower with odds of 8/13. Bisping is used to the underdog role, and with odds of 5/4, betters have a good opportunity to cash out with him.

Bet on Cody Garbrandt vs. TJ Dillashaw

Two of the biggest rivals in MMA will face off on a yet-to-be-announced date for the bantamweight championship of the world. Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw clearly have a lot of bad blood heading into this one, and even the best MMA betting experts are having a tough time predicting the winner.

After three straight KO victories in 2016, Cody Garbrandt was given a shot at the UFC bantamweight championship. He took full advantage of the opportunity, beating Cruz by unanimous decision. Not long after, it was announced that he would be facing former champ TJ Dillashaw.

Tj held the belt for nearly two years before losing a close split decision to Dominick Cruz. He’s since won two fights in dominant fashion, and will get his chance to face former training partner Cody Garbrandt. The two fighters recently finished wrapping up filming for The Ultimate Fighter 25, and will likely face off sometime this summer. PaddyPower lists Garbrandt is the betting favorite here with odds of 6/4, and Dillashaw the slight underdog with odds of 11/10.
