We’ll take a look at the rest of the matches set to take place this weekend in the top flight of the Italian league.

Many say that Italian football has fallen down the pecking order in the top European divisions as they lost their competitive spirit over the years. They went from having some of the most fearsome sides challenging for the top prizes on the continent, while now they are going through some uncertain times both domestically and in foreign competitions.

Fiorentina prepare to play AC Milan at home
AS Roma will most likely win over Sampdoria
Lazio will visit Torino on Monday evening

No matter what your opinion on the matter is, the Italian Serie A is still a great league to place your weekly bets on. Italian gambling news report that Inter will face Cesena at home, while Fiorentina will go head to head with former superpower AC Milan. Torino will host Lazio and AS Roma will play against Sampdoria at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday evening.

Inter vs Cesena and Fiorentina vs AC Milan

Inter
have been pretty disappointing for several seasons now. They haven’t managed to build on the success that they experienced in 2010 and are now suffering the consequences. So far they have accumulated an overall of 36 points from 26 games, which has granted them 8th place on the table. At home they maintain an unconvincing result (5 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses), however Bet365 earmarked to win the encounter against Cesena, assigning odds of 1.36 (4/11).

Inter-Cesena

The visitors on the other hand are complete outsiders 9.50 (17/2) for this match. They sit in the relegation zone in 19th spot with only 20 points so far. Their performance while playing on the road has been quite bad, having won only a single game with all the other encounters ending in 2 draws and 9 losses. Considering Cesena’s precarious position in the league, Inter should be able to overcome them rather easily.

Fiorentina
, who are currently in 5th place, will battle against AC Milan at home. Their form has been decent, clinching 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, however some believe that they could have done better at times. They blundered too many times at home recording 6 draws and 2 losses, while only managing 4 wins. Their stats may haunt them as gear up for their next game, despite being favorites 1.91 (10/11).

Fiorentina-Milan

The Rossoneri are far from the team that they once were and they find themselves struggling in 10th position with only 35 points. over the last 5 matches they notched 1 loss, 3 draws and only 1 win, while their record away from home stands at 2 wins, 7 draws and 3 losses. Mobile betting sites believes that they don’t have a realistic shot against Fiorentina, giving them limited odds 4.20 (16/5), with a draw being 3.50 (5/2).

Torino vs Lazio and AS Roma vs Sampdoria

Torino
sit in 9th spot with 36 points and over the last several games they disappointed with their performances in front of their home fans (5 wins, 6 draws and 2 losses). Their form at home has seen its ups and downs, as they recorded a win and a draw right after one another in a pattern. Considering their current results they have been assigned underdog chances 3.10 (21/10) for the match with Lazio, while a draw between the two stands at 3.10 (21/10) as well.

Torino-Lazio

The Rome-based side are in 3rd and are pushing fiercely to try and usurp their cross-town rivals AS Roma, who sit in 2nd place. They now claim 46 points and have an away record of 5 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses. However, since they are a better side with more promise, Bet365 has given them favorite status 2.50 (3/2).

The last game of matchday 27 will see AS Roma defend its colors at home against Sampdoria in a game that should produce great action. The hosts have collected a total of 50 points, however their form has been pretty disappointing in recent times. They tied all 4 of their last matches which doesn’t reassure their home fans for the upcoming game. Nevertheless, online sportsbooks in Italy believe they should be able to win 1.65 (7/11) this encounter.

Roma-Sampdoria

Sampdoria occupy 6th place thanks to 42 points overall. They managed to win some important games earlier, however it seems that they are lacking some more depth in order to truly make their presence known in the league. On the road they won only 4 games, while all the other ones ended in 5 draws and 4 losses. That is why Bet365 ranks them as outsiders 6.00 (5/1) for this important clash. The draw on the other hand stands at 3.60 (13/5).
