2020 Euroleague Betting Predictions: Who Can Reach the Final?

2019-2020 Euroleague season has just started, so the question is still open, who will win the tournament this season. According to the 2020 Euroleague betting predictions CSKA Moscow, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Fenerbahce are the top favourites. 18 teams are playing in the regular season, the best eight teams will get through to the play-offs. The winners of these games will play in the Final Four next May in Cologne, the final is on the 24th of May. CSKA Moscow is the reigning champion after they beat first Real Madrid then Turkish side, Anadolu Efes in the final.

2020 Euroleague Betting predictions: the top favourites

CSKA Moscow is a top favourite again to win the league, Unibet is offering 4.00 odds for their win. They have been 17 times in the Final Four since 2000, only missing it two occasions. They signed Mike James who was last year’s leading scorer. CSZKA also has one of the most successful coaches in the person of Dimitris Itoudis. The team is in good form, dominating the VTB United League and also leading Euroleague with two wins. Two Spanish teams, Real Madrid and Barcelona will try to stop them, having the same odds with Unibet to win the tournament, 4.00. Both teams should qualify for the playoffs without any issues, they are regular participants of the Euroleague Final Fours too. Their game against each other, the El Clasico should be a top game to watch. It will be in the 8th round, on the 14th of November.

Real were in the final four last year, losing against CSKA in the semi-final but defeating Fenerbache for third place. They lost the Spanish Cup against Barcelona but won the Spanish League final. Their biggest strength is that their team hasn’t changed much. Barcelona lost against Anadolu Efes in last season’s playoff, they got to the Final Four last time during the 2013/14 season. But they signed Nikola Mirotic, who is returning to Spain after playing in the NBA for five years. The task for coach Svetislav Peric is to make a team from all their stars. Online sportsbooks in Spain can’t make any difference between the two giants, offering the same odds for both Barcelona and Real Madrid to win the Spanish League.

Other candidates for winning the Euroleague

Turkish teams are also strong, although they haven’t started the season too well. Fenerbahce lost both its games, one against Real, one against Crvena Zvezda. Some of their key players are struggling with injuries, which might be a reason for this start. Anadolu Efes managed to win with one single point against Alba Berlin at home but lost against Barcelona. We are at the early stages, they will have plenty of opportunities to improve and get to the top eight teams. Most 2020 Euroleague betting predictions are expecting Fenerbache in the top four, with 4.50 odds offered for its win. Greek side Panathinaikos can be a difficult opponent for everyone, with ex NBA players Jimmer Fredette and Wesley Johnson, and last season’s best point guard Nick Calathes joining the team. Bookmakers are giving them 21.00 odds to win the league, but they can make a surprise if they get to the Final Four.
