The 35th edition of the top women’s water polo club competition, the LEN Women’s Champions League (known as LEN Euro League) will continue with the quarter-finals next February. Until then we have time to discover the remaining eight teams and check out the main favorites. The first two teams from all four groups advanced to the quarter-final including the defending champions, Olympiacos Piraeus, and the runners-up, CN Sabadell. Interestingly neither of them could win their group though, and only finished in second place. In the group winners, we can find other Italian and Spanish clubs, like SIS Roma, CM Mataro, and CE Mediterrani. But the most successful club in the tournament’s history, Italian Ekipe Orizzonte also won its group and can go for its 9th title.

2022/23 Len Women's Champions League Odds Favor Sabadell This Time

CN Sabadell finished second behind another Spanish club, CN Mataro in Group B with two wins and one defeat. Last year’s runners-up lost the last group game against their local rival who also beat them in the Spanish Super Cup. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEI7l5PoBLY But online sportsbooks in Spain still favor the five-time champions and offer odds of 2.00 for their sixth title. David Palma’s team has such top players as Elena Ruiz, Irene Gonzalez, and Dutch Sabrina Van der Sloot. They have the experience and the squad for the title again. But might need to perform better in the quarter-final for that.  Just like the defending champions, Olympiacos Piraeus, who finished behind SIS Roma in Group D. The Greek side won the club’s third Champions League title last season and is mentioned as the other huge favorite. Their odds to defend their title are 3.00 in the  2022/23 Len Women's Champions League odds. In spite of their struggles in the group stage and narrow wins against Greek side Vouliagmeni and Dutch De Zaan. But in critical times, their key players, like Nikoleta Eleftheriadou and Margarita Plevritou helped the team with their goals. Aleksandar Ciric’s squad can go all the way to the final again. If they can produce a more balanced performance during the games.

Italian and other Spanis Clubs can also Fight for the Title

CN Mataro won its group ahead of Sabadell and become another top favorite to win this year’s Champions League. The Catalan club won the LEN Trophy in 2016 and the Spanish Cup twice so far. Last season they couldn’t advance to the quarter-finals in spite of winning two games in the group. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCONpaJ8GBk Dani Ballart’s team played more confidently this time and get to the last eight again. Thanks to the great performance of new signing Hungarian Rita Keszthelyi. And former team members Simone Van der Kraats and Silvia Avegno. Based on their recent form, they can win the club’s first Champions League title. Online gambling sites in Spain offer an odds of 6.00 for that.  We also have to mention the Italian clubs of Roma and Orizzonte among the favorites. Both clubs won their groups and can continue their great runs next February. Ekipe Orizzonte will aim for the club’s 9th title. But the first one since their last victory in the 2007/08 season. Australian Alice Williams joined Martina Miceli’s squad in the summer, which proved to be a great decision. Along with her compatriot, Bronte Halligan, she has been great so far. Just like Chiara Ranelli at the other Italian club, SIS Roma. She scored four goals in the last group game against Olympiacos and helped her team to secure the top spot. The team captain, Domitilla Picozzi also played her best and led the team to the quarter-finals. Their odds to win the tournament for the first time are 9.00 on 22Bet.
