The 2022 MotoGP season continues with the Portuguese race next weekend, on the 24th of April. For the third time since its debut, the Algarve International Circuit will host the race where Fabio Quartararo won last year. The 2022 Portuguese MotoGP betting odds mention him in the top favorites again. Along with the current overall leader, Enea Bastianini. But the six-time champion, Marc Marquez has the smallest the odds to win the fifth race of the season.

The Algarve International Circuit opened in 2008 to host the final of the Superbike World Championship. The circuit is located half an hour from the popular port city of Portimao as a part of a huge complex. The MotoGP had its first race here in 2020 and will return to the circuit for the third time this year. Fabio Quartararo is the defending champion after finishing ahead of Francesco Bagnaia and Joan Mir last year. He is one of the main favorites again along with the surprise rider of the season, Enea Bastianini. While Marc Marquez will also aim for his first victory in 2022.

2022 Portuguese MotoGP Betting Odds Predict Marquez’s Victory

Marc Marquez produced an amazing comeback in the previous race in Austin. After starting from 9th place he was dropped back to the last position. But the Spanish champion managed to climb back and finish in 6th place at the end. He is still only 13th in the overall standings due to a crash and missing the Argentine race. But now online sportsbooks in Portugal offer the smallest odds, 3.50 for his victory. Even though Marquez only raced here once before, last year, when he finished in 7th place. But if the Honda rider wants to fight for another championship title, he needs to start winning now.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZskwR_nJdI The 2022 Portuguese MotoGP betting odds mention the reigning champion, Fabio Quartararo as the next big favorite. The French won this race last year so he has good memories from the track. But he hasn’t been as convincing this season so far after getting only one podium finish. Yamaha seems to struggle this season and there are rumors that Quartararo might leave the team next year. Surely he will be focusing on his results with his current team now and try to move up in the championship. His odds to win the race in Portimao are 7.00.

Will Bastianini Continue In His Superb Form?

The big surprise of the season so far has been the Ducati rider Enea Bastianini. The 24-year-old won the first race in Qatar and the previous one in Austin. Though he only finished 10th and 11th in the races between. Still, currently, he is leading the world championship five points ahead of second-place Alex Rins. Bastianini was 9th in Portugal last season but he and his team, Gresini Racing are in a much stronger position now. Even though the other Ducatis have been struggling, the Italian has been having the season of his life. And the odds of 8.50 to win again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MRu6Kcts9A Online gambling sites in Portugal offer similar odds for the victory of another top-form rider, Alex Rins. The Spanish finished on the podium twice so far this season and has been riding well in all four races. He couldn’t finish the race on this circuit last year but the Suzuki rider has the odds of 8.00 to finish on top now. His teammate, Joan Mir is not much behind him, in fourth place after two four- and two six-place finishes. The 2020 world champion was third here last year but had to retire a year before. In order to win the race, he might need to get a better qualifier though. As Mir has only started from the front row once so far in his whole career. He might get the win from a better starting position with the odds of 12.00 to do so.
