Austrian gambling equipment and technology supplier Novomatic has just acquired gambling software developer Mazooma

Renowned online gambling software developer Mazooma has just been purchased by Novomatic, according to the latest Austria gambling news.

The giant gambling equipment and gambling software group has also bought Britain’s largest gaming machine operator Gamestec, Bell-Fruit Games and RLMS.

Novomatic operates in full compliance with Austrian gambling laws, and already owns Greentube, another online gambling software developer. The latest acquisitions are regarded as another confirmation of growing convergence of land-based and online gambling segments.

The current acquisition implications are mostly focused on the land-based segment, however online gambling wing of Novomatic will also be affected.

The United Kingdom Office of Fair Trading will investigate the acquisition, but it’s expected to be approved as early as next month.

Mazooma Interactive is a well-know and trusted online casino gambling software supplier, currently powering a wide range of online casinos in Austria and worldwide. The client list of Mazooma includes some of the best online gambling operators.

The partnership between Gamestec and Novomatic has been extremely successful so far. The two companies announced that they will jointly create a new online gambling product portfolio over a year ago.

Gamestec has previously stated that it was in partnership with Astra Games Limited, an Austrian Gaming Industries subsidiary and also a part of Novomatic Group, when it launched the Gamestec Digital division.
