Barcelona’s Argentinian-born Lionel Messi had his moment as he helped Blaugrana beat Levante 5-0 last Sunday.

Although 27 year old Lionel Messi was off to a slow start this football season with relatively low scores, he is now producing prime scores of 14 goals in comparison to his Real Madrid rival, Cristiano Ronaldo who has managed to roll the ball in only 4 times, in 2015, much to the delight of football fans who are mobile betting on Messi.

The Argentinian struck three times in Barcelona’s 5-0 win at home to overtake Ronaldo across all competitions. Since Messi’s winning goals against Levante, his total number of goals has gone to 37 in this football season, whilst the Portuguese-born Real Madrid player, Ronaldo, is a notch down at 36.

Messi’s magnificent play may get him Pichichi prize.

The Catalonian team’s president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, said of the Barcelona vs. Levante match that “Luis Enrique rotated and the team worked well. It has been a good week and I am happy with these 11 victories”. Lionel Messi’s three goals during the match is his third major surprise of the season, following those against Espanyol at the Camp Nou and Deportivo at the Riazor.

However, Cristano Ronaldo is still ahead of Messi, and both are potential winners of the La Liga top scorer award, the Pichichi Trophy. Ronaldo has scored 28 La Liga goals while Argentinian-born Messi has scored only 26. Sports fans in Spain can consult online sports betting operators, as approved under Spanish gambling news, to wager on who they think should be the La Liga goalscoring champion.
