Playtech Live Dealer games are now available to Spaniards.

While some stakeholders may be unhappy with the conditions facing them in the recently opened Spanish online gambling market, others are quite glad to descend on the Iberian Peninsula.

Among them is Mann-based games developer and provider, Playtech. The company has just signed a deal with Casino Gran Madrid, Spain’s largest brick and mortar gambling establishment. Under the agreement CGM will provide the physical space for Playtech’s online games to be managed from.

This fulfills regulatory requirements set by Spanish gambling laws, according to which any live casino game aimed at local players must be transmitted from a Spanish land based casino.

Therefore the way is now open for Playtech to reach Spaniards with a range of live dealer online casino games, including Live Baccarat, Live Blackjack, Live Casino Hold ’em, Live Keno, Live Roulette and Live Sic Bo.

Playtech was clearly pleased after signing the deal. “With Playtech’s leadership in regulated markets combined with its best of breed products and CGM’s land based expertise, we see a great future for the live gaming industry in Spain,” said Aviv Nankin, Head of Live Games at the company.

The Live Dealer games are said to let players “experience the buzz of the casino with the immediacy and excitement of the live game, delivered to players in a high quality production,” claims the Playtech website.

It has been legal for locals to engage in various online gambling activities, such as casino games or playing online poker in Spain for about half a year now, and figures are showing a strong interest in such gaming.
