The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour goes to Blackpool in November. Otherwise known as the GUKPT Blackpool Leg 10, the tournament will take place between 3 and 13 November. This is a No-Limit Hold’em tournament and features multiple versions of this category. The only single event that’s different is the Pot Limit Omaha game that’s on 9 November. While the tournament ends on 13 November, there will be two online events called “The Closer” set to take place the following two days.

Location, Rules, and Everything You Need to Know About GUKPT Blackpool

Some of the best and biggest poker tournaments are held in the UK. The GUKPT is the largest and most popular one and this year’s tournament lasts from 27 January until 18 December. Blackpool is the last leg of the tournament. After it is over, the GUKPT returns to London for the Grand Final in December. In the following subsection, we’ll break down the bigger events at the 2022 GUKPT Blackpool.

The venue for the tournament will be the Grosvenor Casino in Blackpool. It’s a fully equipped facility that’s open 24 hours. It doesn’t have the biggest poker room in the UK, but it’s a high-quality establishment. The GUKPT has a set of rules that apply during all legs of the competition. If you’re planning on joining the 2022 GUKPT Blackpool, you might want to take a look at those rules.

All Eyes Will be on the Main Event

Let’s talk about the main event first and foremost. The tournament begins on 3 November as we mentioned previously, but the main event only takes place a week after that. Main Event Day 1A, 1B, and 1C Turbo will all have a buy-in of £1.100+£150. There are three entries per flight here. Players have 60 minutes on the clock, except for the Turbo event, and start with a 20.000 stack. These three events are on 10 and 11 November.

Main Event Day 2 is on 12 November and the final day is on Sunday, 13 November. The 60 minutes clock applies here as well and the latter event is played until there’s a final winner. Additionally, there are multiple Main Event Cash Out Satellite events as well. These are on 6, 9, and 10 November and have £125+£15 buy-ins with unlimited re-entries.

Blackpool’s Mini Main Event Offers a Smaller Pond for Smaller Fish

Apart from the main event, the 2022 GUKPT Blackpool will also feature a Mini Main Event. This will also be a multiple-day event but it will eventually end before the main event begins. 3 November works as a satellite for both the Mystery Bounty, which we’ll get to in a moment and the Mini Main events. This is an unlimited re-entry event with a £78+£7 buy-in.

Days 1A, 1B, and 1C of the Mini Main event take place on 6, 7, and 8 November. Buy-ins are £220+£30 for each of these and there are 13 levels played. Furthermore, just as for the Main Event, the starting stacks are 20.000 here as well. The turbo event is slightly shorter, however. People can enter until Day 2 for both the main and mini-main events. If you miss out, make sure to practice on 888poker.

Mystery Bounty Brings Freshness into the Poker Scene

Another major attraction for GUKPT Blackpool is the Mystery Bounty games. As we mentioned the satellites before, we’ll cut straight to the important part. The entire days of 4 and 5 November are dedicated to the Mystery Bounty events. Day 1A, 1B, and 1C – Turbo all have buy-ins of £200+£200+£40. The entry period is 11 levels and the games are played until level 14. If you make your time count here you’ll progress to Day 2 the next day.

The Bigger the Risk, the Bigger the Reward – 2022 GUKPT Blackpool High Roller Events

High-roller events always draw a lot of attention so how could one ever forget about them? At the 2022 GUKPT Blackpool tournament, there will be five high-roller events in total. The first two of these are cash-out satellites with the third one being turbo cash-out. Most online poker sites in the UK highlight such tournaments as well. Days 1 and 2 of the High Roller event are on 9 and 10 November, just before the main event starts.

Even the satellites have buy-ins of £200+£20 but the starting stack is significantly reduced. Players have a stack of 10.000 but there is late registration on the other hand. What most people will be interested in are the two £1800+£200 buy-in events. Both of these have a starting stack of 100.000 and unlimited re-entries. Entry periods are the same as before. If you’re good enough, you might even make it to the High Roller Day 2 at the 2022 GUKPT Blackpool.
