Brazil Set to Make Sports Betting Legitimate

The Brazilian senate house on Monday agreed to pass the 671/2015 legislative law which permits sports betting. The law is also regarded in the country as the “MP Football”.

The 671/2015 bill is expected to give aid to the football clubs operating in Brazil. The new law passed by the senate requires the formation of two brand-new lotteries. Reports from mobile casino suggest that some parts of the new lotteries will be given to various clubs in the country to ensure sport betting. The first type of raffle is the well-known instant-Win scratch card game.

The scratch card game is reported to use the symbolic Brazilian national football team icon. On the other hand, the second lottery is said to be more like a conventional betting game. Brazil’s federal bank, Calxa Economica Federal (CEF), would specially be in charge of the second lottery. The bank can also control the competition by giving permission to an arbitrary controller.

Horseracing, live poker tournaments and lotteries are the types of legal of gambling permitted in the country. Legitimizing sports betting would only attract market in the region. According to gambling news, the Brazilian government are also looking to pass a law that allows online gambling. The law is however yet to be determined.
