Renowned German online gambling operator JAXX signed a sponsorship agreement with SpVgg Greuther Furth football team.

The online betting site myBet operated by JAXX under German gambling laws has just received a license from the breakaway German state Schleswig-Holstein. JAXX wasted no time and agreed to sponsor the SpVgg Greuther Furth football team based in Furth to increase its brand awareness.

The long fought battle for legal online sportsbooks in Germany so far resulted in one state, Schleswig-Holstein, allowing operations while the remaining 15 states still keeping their doors closed. Licenses are already being awarded to selected operators with more to follow in the coming weeks and months.

The SpVgg Greuther Furth team has already qualified to start the new season in the top tier Bundesliga with four matches still to play in this season.

Germany gambling news report that the terms of the sponsorship deal will allow myBet to enjoy TV-positioned advertising areas on the team’s stadium on top of other extensive promotional possibilities.

Mathias Dahms of the JAXX SE Management Board, had the following to say: "In myBet, we have an excellent brand that we aim to continue bolstering through a measured approach to sponsorship and well-paced branding measures.”

He also added: “Our partnership with the cloverleaf gives us the opportunity of a presence in the Bundesliga through an especially likeable club. With its attractive football and a young, motivated group of players, the team is bound to make its mark on the first division, too."

myBet already secured partnerships with Fortuna Dusseldorf, is a proud sponsor of the German national handball team, and also supports the “Republik Fussball,” an initiative of FC St. Pauli for amateur and recreational players.
