The ongoing Sheldon Adelson anti-online gambling push has seen another setback, according to a server released last week.

As one of the most successful casino moguls in the world, Sheldon Adelson does not want to see online gambling in the US thriving. For years he and his team have pushed for a nationwide ban on online gambling sites in the US, though his efforts appear to be in vain.

A new survey taken by the Institute for Liberty found that nine out of ten lawmakers would oppose a nationwide ban on US internet gambling.

Since 2011, the US government has allowed individual states to set their own laws regarding online gambling. A number of these states have since passed online gambling laws, while many others are in the process of doing so.

The Sheldon Adelson anti-online gambling push does not look to be gaining much steam, and the future of internet gambling in the US appears to be secure, for now.

What gambling sites are available in the US?

As we mentioned before, each state has the authority to set their own laws regarding online gambling. Despite the Sheldon Adelson anti-online gambling efforts, there are a number of amazing gambling sites that accept US players, including some of the best online casinos and a number of amazing online sportsbooks in the US.

Perhaps the most popular is Intertops, which has become highly reviewed thanks to their wide range of sports betting lines and fantastic online casino. New members can also take advantage of an amazing welcome bonus up to $200.
