When they met in the opening match the Gladiators won, now the top two teams in the PSL meet again. The 5th Pakistan Super League has given us some great matches and this will be another. Both teams have equal points and this is their chance to steal a march on their opponents and gain a clear lead. The question is, which is worth taking advantage of Pakistani gambling laws to back? The odds on Islamabad United winning the PSL at Unibet favor them, but Quetta could upset that applecart.
It was a great advert for the tournament. The opening game was a superb example of T20 cricket. The Gladiators fielded first and managed to limit United to just 168 at the crease. This was decisive. Dawid Malan put up a fight. He so often does. His 64 stopping it becoming an embarrassment for United. Indeed, if you pick up the odds on Islamabad United winning the PSL you’ll need to rely on him. Problem is that one good knock doesn’t win top tier matches like these.

The Quetta Gladiators got 171/7 winning by three wickets. That’s quite the margin and speaks volumes for how useful Azam Khan had been with the bat. Those who like to bet on sports in Pakistan will recognize his 59 as an important anchor for the side. You can bet on the Quetta Gladiators to try the same again. Will it work? Possibly not. The odds on Islamabad United to win the PSL, and the match with the Quetta, give them the edge in both. A very small edge.
United Face The Gladiators For The Second Time
So, the bookies like Unibet are being cautious. The Karachi Kings led the PSL betting odds till they met Quetta, and lost by five wickets. Likewise, the pre-tournament tipped Lahore have failed to hit the mark. They’ve lost two in a row now. Admittedly, in their last match United only beat them by a single wicket (and a close one at that). However, the odds on the Lahore Qalandars have lengthened considerably. Meanwhile the odds on Islamabad United winning the PSL have closed up.
United have demonstrated a clear force of will on the pitch. Strident batting and precision bowling do make them look the side to beat. So they’ll be square in Quetta’s sights. The odds on Islamabad United winning the PSL are now just 10/3, well ahead of the Gladiators’ 4/1. Of course, that will change fast at Unibet and other online betting sites in Pakistan if United lose. So, there’s more at stake than just points in the table. This could give a psychological edge to the winner.
Odds On Islamabad United Winning The PSL Drop At Unibet
Unibet give slightly better odds on United winning against Quetta than odds on Islamabad United winning the PSL. Slightly meaning they’re at 4/5 with the Gladiators on Evens. So, it’s a bit parsimonious perhaps but it’s six of one and half a dozen of the other right now. Either the Gladiators will hem in Islamabad or they’ll just fail to chase the total. Whichever occurs it’s going to be very close. If you like to bet on T20 cricket you shouldn’t miss this match.
Indeed, the standard of play has been superb. Online sportsbook sites in Pakistan like Unibet have had to shift their prices several times thus far. The idea that the odds on Islamabad United winning the PSL won’t shift is madness. They will. If they win this game they’ll have a points lead and shorter prices. The same goes for the Quetta Gladiators. So, if there’s a good time to put a wager on the cricket, it’s now, before the rest of the tournament swims into the bookies’ focus.
