GamingZion assessed all the top 2015 US Open Odds for the men’s singles event.

As the players started their build-up to the 2015 US Open that will start on 31 August, GamingZion have a look at the chances regarding the men’s singles tournament. As we have mentioned in our previous piece, world’s number one Novak Djokovic is clearly the favorite to win the 135th edition of the tournament in Flushing Meadows.

• Djokovic was given almost even odds
• Murray and Federer to challenge Nole
• Wawrinka defeated Djoker in a final this year

The Serb’s success is available for 2.25 (5/4) at Bet365 Sportsbook. Online sportsbooks in the US don’t expect a rematch from the 2014 final, as last year’s winner Marin Cilic and runner-up Kei Nishikori are far from the favorites according to 2015 US Open odds.

Djokovic to rule them all

Though the era of the Big Four seems to be over, it is far from over for Novak Djokovic. The nine-time Grand Slam winner emerged as the most dominant member of the quartet also including, Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal. Moreover, he seems to be ruling the world of tennis on his own. Though Stan Wawrinka was able to win the 2015 Roland Garros, the only major tournament that Nole has yet to win, the Djoker conquered the Australian Open and the Wimbledon Championships this year.

Djokovic given almost even 2015 US Open Odds

Djokovic is such a strong favorite, he was given almost even 2015 US Open odds

The latter actually saw a final that will be remembered by players who gamble online for long. Djokovic won the title decider in four sets against Roger Federer, arguably the best that has ever held a racket. The final had an unforgettable climax towards the end of second set that resulted in a tie-break that was won by Federer 12-10. Since then, Djokovic did not play in a singles tournament until this week. He started his preparation for the US Open at Coupe Rogers in Montreal.

Djokovic has been the number one in the ATP rankings since he won last year’s Wimbledon Championship. And we got used to seeing Roger Federer ranked as number two recently. It is no wonder that the Serb was given almost even 2015 US Open odds by Bet365 Sportsbook. He participated in seven tournaments this year, winning six of those. His only defeat came in the Roland Garros final, where Wawrinka was able to upset the odds. So it is easy to see why Djokovic is expected to grab another Grand Slam trophy in Flushing Meadows this September, despite the fact that his last and only New York Grand Slam win came four years ago.

2015 US Open Odds: big four still in the mix

According to many of those, who bet on sports in the US, the Serb’s biggest challenger could be 2012 US Open winner Andy Murray. The Scot is currently ranked as world’s No. 3, and is available with 2015 US Open odds of 5.00 (4/1) at Bet365 Sportsbook. He won his only title in Flushing Meadows in a final against Djokovic three years ago. However, Djokovic is 16-6 against him on hard court. They also met in this year’s Australian Open final, won by the Djoker in four sets, including a love set in the fourth.

Wawrinka Federer 2015 US Open Odds

Stan Wawrinka and Roger Federer can bring better odds for those who trust them

Federer could be another possible threat. The Swiss has won five titles in Flushing Meadows in a row between 2004 and 2008. However, his last Grand Slam title came in 2012 in Wimbledon. On hard court his last victory is from the 2010 Australian Open. He defeated Murray in both finals. Against Djokovic he was able to pull out a hard court victory this year, as he defeated Nole in Dubai. Federer’s 2015 US Open odds are 7.00 (6/1) at Bet365 Sportsbook.

Rafael Nadal, who is currently only 9th in the ATP rankings, won the US Open in 2010 and 2013. He overcame Djokovic on both occasions, and the latter was the Spaniard’s last hard court Grand Slam title to date. Nadal is fourth favorite to win the upcoming major event at Flushing Meadows at Bet365 Sportsbook with odds of 10.00 (9/1). We have to mention Stan Wawrinka as well, who was able to beat Djokovic this year in a Grand Slam final, when he won the Roland Garros. He has 2015 US Open odds of 13.00 (12/1) at Bet365 Sportsbook.

The top five is followed by the pair from last year’s final, Kei Nishikori and Marin Cilic, as it was mentioned in our previous piece. Grigor Dimitrov at 19.00 (18/1), Juan Martin del Potro at 21.00 (20/1) and Tomas Berdych at 26.00 (25/1) can also cause some problems for the usual suspects. However, it would be quite a surprise if anyone of them would be able to reach the final. Though Djokovic is above the field, an outstanding US Open is ahead of us, with Murray and Federer also expected to be in top form. US gambling laws vary from state to state, but anyone who is lucky to live in a place with legalized online betting, should not let this excellent tennis betting opportunity pass.
