The 2022 Critics' Choice Documentary Awards Odds Favor Welcome to Wrexham to Win

Welcome to Wrexham is an American sports documentary series about a small Welsh football club, Wrexham FC. Holywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought the club in 2021 to save it from collapsing. The series follows their arrival and the lives of local residents who love their football club. Thanks to its famous owners, Wrexham has risen to 8th place in the National League from the 20th. And in the previous season, they got very close to promotion to the EFL League Two. The documentary received good reviews and two nominations at this Awards. Online sportsbooks in Canada offer the smallest odds, 2.20 for its victory.  Another sports documentary called Cheer can be its biggest rival according to the 2022 Critics' Choice Documentary Awards odds. This Netflix series follows the forty-member Navarro College Bulldogs Cheer team from Texas. And shows how they prepare to compete at the National Cheerleading Championship. In spite of its unique theme, the series has been very popular among viewers. And it also received good reviews from critics. The first season debuted in 2020 and received Primetime Emmy and Television Critics Association Awards. Now the second season, released this January has the chance of winning with the odds of 3.50.

US Political Docuseries is also in the Favorites

American politics has been a great topic for filmmakers, just think about Donald Trump’s unbelievable journey to the presidency. Or the never-ending scandals ever since, and all the issues the new Biden administration has faced in the last two years. No wonder Showtime’s ongoing series called The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth is another favorite to win the award. Its former seasons have already received nominations for several awards including the Emmy and the Critics' Choice Awards. Now its seventh season which focuses on the midterm elections has an odd of 4.00 to win.  Online gambling sites in Canada mention next a long-going series called American Masters with odds of 7.50. This documentary makes the biographies of different American artists, musicians, writers, and filmmakers, from Woody Allen to Leonard Bernstein. The series broadcasted its 36th season this year. And it showed the life of such great artists, as Brian Wilson (Beach Boys) and Nobel prize winner Saul Bellow.  Meanwhile the same odds are offered for the victory of 30 for 30, another sports-focused documentary. This series highlights famous athletes and interesting sporting events from Oscar Pistorius to Greg Norman. The last nominee of the category is Netflix’s Unsolved Mysteries which is a reboot of the original series from the 1980s, documenting cold cases and paranormal activities. But its win would be a small miracle though and has an odds of 10.00 on 22Bet.
