The UK Premier League club launched Arsenal Lotto as part of a fundraising effort.

Online gambling news in United Kingdom reported that Tipp24 subsidiary MyLotto24 signed a deal with Arsenal to provide a new online lottery game for the club.

The application for internet betting in United Kingdom, the first of its kind in the country, will allow fans to win weekly cash prizes. The online lottery also contributes to Arsenal Foundation, the club’s fundraising effort.

According to the British Premier League football club, the Arsenal Lotto is aimed to be the biggest fundraising effort in the UK, with big cash prizes and making a difference at the same time,

The Arsenal Foundation is a grant making charity which helps to transform the lives of young people through sport and education. The Foundation benefits from the proceeds the football club gets from the Arsenal Lotto.

Arsenal Lotto is fully compliant with the British gambling laws. To play, fans must select six numbers online on Arsenal Lotto, plus a number between 0 and 9 called “legend”. Weekly draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday evening. One bet for one line costs GBP 1. The average jackpot is as high as GBP 4.7 million, with the possibility of rollovers reaching to GBP 36 million.

Ivan Gazidis, chief executive at Arsenal and trustee of the Arsenal Foundation, commented: “We have been looking for ways to engage fans even more in the good work the Club does in its community and its charitable projects. Whilst some may wish to volunteer or participate in fundraising events, others may look for a more simple way to engage and raise money. The Arsenal Lotto gives them this option.”

MyLotto24 CEO Egidio Messito added: “This launch is a game-changer for any organization wishing to harness the power of lottery. Most important of all, thousands of young people will benefit from projects The Arsenal Foundation funds.”
