The FCC levied a colossal fine onto AT&T for limiting the data usage for users who purchased an unlimited data plan.

Fans of mobile casino gambling
who have an unlimited data plan at AT&T must have been very frustrated with their Internet slowing down each time they have reached a limit. According to The Washington Post, the Federal Communications Commission launched an investigation into the matter.

Seems like AT&T slowed down the Internet speeds of users with an unlimited data usage contact after they reached a certain amount of data used. The average speed of mobile Internet for these users should be more than 30 Mbytes per second. Instead, clients got dial-up level Internet.

The company has been fined USD 100 million

The Washington Post reported that as the result of such a massive number of complaints coming in from as early as 2011, the FCC fined AT&T with an equally enormous fine: USD 100 million dollars. People using mobile betting can finally hope that the balance will be restored in Internet speeds.

The carrier company, however, plans to fight the fine. In an earlier statement, they said the following: “We have been fully transparent with our customers, providing notice in multiple ways and going well beyond the FCC’s disclosure requirements.” We’ll just have to see how this pans out, don’t we.
