The 2019/20 La Liga session is about to kick off on August 16. Barcelona and Real Madrid, as always, are the massive favourites by La Liga 2019/20 outright winner odds. However, Atletico Madrid have emerged as the only realistic title challenger to the top two rivals. Less than two weeks remain for the season to start, and 38 games are yet to be played. However, online sportsbooks in Spain have already put up their predictions for the potential winner. Barcelona are leading the La Liga 2019/20 outright winner odds for a third straight title in 2020. Real Madrid are in line for heavy improvement, but they are still behind Barca. Hence, the closest contender are Atletico Madrid, and they are no longer at a distance from Barca and Real. Regarding Valencia and Seville, they are the potential underdogs. Yet, there are no expectations for both of them to make an upset.

Barca eager to show off their new attacking trio

Following the €120 million signing of Antoine Griezmann, the defending champions Barcelona are looking forward to lifting their third consecutive La Liga trophy. Since Neymar left in 2017, Barca have lacked a formidable attacking trio. This season, they are back with  Messi, Griezmann, and Suarez. They have also bolstered their midfield with Frenkie De Jong and remain solid in defense as long as Marc ter Stegen performs at his best. Indeed, it is hard to look beyond Barcelona for the title, as they value 1.61 to win their third back-to-back title at Bet365 Sportsbook.

Real Madrid failed yet to bounce back

Barca’s eternal rival Real Madrid have faced a very disappointing third-place finish in La Liga last season. They have also suffered a humbling exit from the Champions League by Ajax. To address their weaknesses, they brought back the UCL-title winner Zinedine Zidane and added all of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic to the roster. However, Los Blancos’ pre-season performance was still disastrous, losing 3-7 to Atletico. Whether they will bounce back soon remains unclear, but their La Liga 2019/20 outright winner odds stand at 2.62.

Atleti expected to be more competitive this season

Despite failing to win La Liga since 2014, Atletico Madrid have been improving steadily, with 2019/20 possibly to be their memorable season. As long as Diego Simeone is at the helm, Atleti have the potential to increase their competitiveness. Last two years they have finished ahead of Real Madrid. They have also enjoyed a strong pre-season showing, thrashing Real 7-3 this July. Their transfer market was quite good, bringing the Portuguese youngster Joao Felix, along with Marcos Llorente and Kieran Trippier. Atleti are expected to be very solid title challengers with 13.00.

Valencia and Sevilla the massive underdogs

Outside the top three, Sevilla and Valencia will likely fight for the fourth place, according to online sportsbook news in Spain. Valencia have been historically consistent to finish within the top four. But, they have failed to win La Liga since 2004. Thus, their odds value 101.00 to win the season, meaning we shall not expect any upsets from Valencia. On the other hand, Sevilla under their new manager Julen Lopetegui are expected to pose a serious threat, but their odds are still 151.00 to become La Liga winners.
