British online bookmaker Blue Square Bet enters an advertising partnership with Absolute Radio.

Blue Square Bet, an online bookie operating in full compliance with British gambling laws, secured a six-figure contract with Absolute Radio. The partnership will last for nine months of the 2012/2013 English Premier League season and will focus on discussing pre-game and live betting odds in the Saturday show by Mark Crossley.

Alan Alger, representative from Blue Square will feature in the three-hour show every Saturday to discuss betting opportunities for the weekend as well as live betting odds for the renowned Absolute Radio Barclays Premier League fixture commentary with Jim Proudfoot.

The agreement will also allow for sponsor credits to run in the radio show to coincide with network-wide advertising efforts by one of the most popular online sportsbooks in United Kingdom. The deal will also be supported by a specifically designed micro-site at the radio’s very own web page.

The promotional messages will focus on the Blue Square Bet’s line: “Enough Said. Just Bet” and will advertise the bookie’s online and mobile betting opportunities. Radio presenters and commentators will be integrating the sportsbook’s promotions into their live shows.

Marketing manager at Blue Square Bet, Jonathan Sykes, told United Kingdom gambling news: “The Absolute Radio brand has established a strong identity of entertaining football fans every Saturday.”

He added: “We hope to add to the build-up by giving listeners the inside track on our latest offers and prices as well as inviting them to join our campaign to out the nonsense in football. As a no-nonsense brand that gets people straight to the bet we believe we’ve got a lot in common with Absolute Radio’s approach and look forward to working with them.”
