Most individuals partake in gambling activities in order to make themselves a quick fortune and to have some fun. It’s not often that we hear stories of charitable organizations benefiting through the deeds of gamblers, but when we do, it’s remarkable.

Nations which permit gambling often include stipulations and clauses in gambling legislation which dictates that revenue streams obtained through gambling must be used for the public good. This money is often constructively used towards education.

Gambling in the United Kingdom is very popular, and British gambling laws are quite permissive. One of the most popular forms of gambling today comes in the form of internet betting in the UK

William Hill is a prominent online sportsbook in the UK and Nicholas Newlife was a loyal patron. Betting on tennis superstar Roger Federer, Mr. Newlife won a solid lump sum of change totaling roughly $25,000. Unfortunately, Newlife passed away before he could see all his bets through.

A generous man, it was later discovered that Newlife dictated into his will that the charitable organization Oxfam International should receive all of his posthumous winnings. Through his hobby of betting on online sportsbooks in the UK, Newlife may have donated more than anyone ever expected.

Well before his death, Newlife placed a bet that Roger Federer would win the Wimbledon tournament seven times before the year 2020. At this point, the tennis player has already won a total of six Wimbledon Tournaments, and looks to be in good form for this year’s as well.

In the event that Federer should win another Wimbledon Tournament before the year 2020, Oxfam International stands to make a jaw-dropping profit of over $153,000. Newlife was obviously very good at picking talent out on the tennis court. Oxfam will be very thankful in the event that Newlife’s bet should go through.
