The Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA has formed a partnership with the fantasy sports operator FanDuel allowing them to advertise on signs in Cleveland’s basketball arena and on their website.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, a professional sports team from National Basketball Association, has just signed a partnership with a fantasy sports operator. Mobile betting will definitely get a boost as FanDuel will be able to use their brand name in order to market the fantasy sports company on posted signs in Cleveland’s Qucken Loans Arena. Also the marketing agreement, which hasn’t been fully disclosed, allows FanDuel to advertise on the basketball club’s official website.

FanDuel will use this opportunity to create initiatives that will reward gamers who support them. The first of these will be “#FanDuelfortheWin Sweepstakes” in which supporters get the opportunity to win VIP experiences at future home games. “The Cleveland Cavaliers are one of the most dynamic teams in the NBA, with passionate fans and an exciting roster”, says Nigel Eccles, chief executive officer of FanDuel.

Cavaliers on of Many to Enter Deals with Fantasy Sports Franchises

In US gambling news, there is a growing trend among the NBA, as many of their franchises are forming partnerships with fantasy sports operators. With a financial backing of $70 million since last September, FanDeal has brokered deals with the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls. FanDuel also has a partnership with Jay Glazer. The well-known sports writer can provide his expertise to provide sound sports commentary.

DraftKings, another popular fantasy sports operator, has given FanDuel serious competition. Already having a league-wide contract deal with the National Hockey League (NHL), DraftKings has already individually signed NBA teams including the Minnesota Timberwolves, Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics. Although FanDuel has signed a League-wide contract with the NBA, there is still a rush to sign individual team partnerships.
