The Blues stand to make another spectacular show in the Premier League after boosting squad with talented goal-scorer Lukaku.

After seeing David Moyes leave for Manchester United in the previous season, Everton have managed to effectively replace him with Roberto Martinez. He guided them to a fifth place finish, which granted them a spot in the Europa League group stage.

Throughout the summer, they not only managed to bring in several good players, but have also kept their current crop of star performers. Everton successfully brushed off overtures by Manchester United for their talented left-back Leighton Baines. Romelu Lukaku, who was on from Chelsea last season, was signed for a fee of around GBP 28 million.

Everton prepared to use Lukaku as main goal threat

Lukaku scored an impressive 15 goals throughout the grueling campaign, while it is also worth noting that he is still only 21 years of age and has a bright future ahead of him. One negative aspect is that young winger Gerard Deulofeu, on loan from Barcelona, has been recalled back to his parent club. His pace and skill will surely be missed by the club.

According to mobile betting firm Bet365, Lukaku has chances of 17.00 (16/1) to become top scorer next season, en element that is possible considering his eye for goal. Everton are also right behind favorites to finish top six of the table with 2.62 (13/8) odds.
