Gambling On The Premier League Favorites? Perhaps Not.

Citizens Vs Saints

• Man City 1/2
• Southampton 11/2
• Draw 10/3

Manchester City still sit as Premier League prediction favorites to take the title at season’s end, and usually Premier League games against the like of Southampton wouldn’t be much to worry about, but after their last two games is it worth gambling on the Premier League silver medalists of last season?

Manchester City’s loss at Juventus was on the cards from the off. Champions League and Premier League fixtures are not even remotely alike and before the hostile fans at “The Stadium” the Sky Blues faltered to a damp squib of a 1-0 defeat, City unable to claw back the early Mandzukic goal to even salvage a draw from the game.

Worse still for those that like to back the Citizens when gambling on the Premier League perhaps, was that Joe Hart sustained an injury and had to be subbed off, which means he may not play on Saturday leaving Man City’s already suspect defense distinctly lacking in key areas, ones that may let in Premier League goals against the Saints.

Gambling On The Premier League This Weekend? Try The Saints & Prayer

Liverpool’s battering of City 4-1 the game prior to their trip to Italy means that Southampton face a City team that needs a win to keep them near the top of the Premier League table, and the boys from the coast will need to bounce back from their one-nil defeat at home to Stoke who are owned by the Coates family that also runs Bet365.

Coincidentally Bet365 is perfect for anyone thinking about taking advantage of UK gambling laws and actually gambling on the Premier League since it provides all the opportunities you need and all the best odds. This weekend they’re offering a drifting 11/2 on Southampton to win in Manchester which is probably worth a punt given the current state of City’s form despite them getting 1/2 from the bookies.

The last time these two met Manchester City strolled it two-nil but as the video of their performance against Liverpool demonstrates their defenders have been easy to catch napping recently and they might not be amongst the safe bets this Saturday.
