HIPTHER and Gaming Law Group IMGL Make Their Long-Running Partnership Official

HIPTHER and the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) have signed a formal partnership agreement, putting an official label on a working relationship that has quietly shaped the legal and regulatory content of HIPTHER’s conferences for more than a decade.

The deal, announced September 22, ties IMGL’s network of gaming lawyers and regulators more closely to HIPTHER’s European events calendar. It starts immediately: at the HIPTHER Warsaw Summit 2026, set for October 27 and 28 at the InterContinental Warsaw, IMGL will run a dedicated Masterclass alongside its usual speaker participation.

A Decade of Informal Ties Made Official

IMGL members have appeared at HIPTHER events and their predecessor conferences since early in the organization’s history, contributing regulatory and policy expertise to discussions on how gaming markets take shape across Europe and beyond. IMGL Masterclasses, structured sessions for lawyers, regulators and industry specialists to work through specific regulatory problems, have also become a regular fixture on the HIPTHER conference circuit over that time. Formalizing the arrangement, both organizations say, reflects a shared interest in keeping that kind of dialogue between industry, regulators and legal practitioners going.

IMGL itself is a nonprofit association of more than 300 gaming attorneys, regulators, educators and compliance specialists drawn from jurisdictions worldwide. Beyond its own conferences and publications, the group runs Masterclasses at gaming industry events globally, bringing together practitioners for detailed discussion of emerging legal and regulatory issues. The HIPTHER partnership gives that work another European outlet, while adding international regulatory depth to HIPTHER’s own compliance-focused programming.

Prediction Markets on the Agenda in Warsaw

The Masterclass topic for Warsaw has already been set: prediction markets, a subject sitting at the crossing point of gaming, regulation and fast-changing market structures, and one that regulators and operators alike are still working out how to handle. Speakers and further programming details are expected to be announced closer to the event.
