Irish bookmaker and online gambling operator Paddy Power has contracted UK-based content supplier Realistic Games, to deliver 14 game titles in 2014.
The games will be added to Paddy Power’s mobile casino offers and will include several HTML blackjack and roulette games, as well as slots developed specifically for iOS and Android devices.
These slots consist of titles like Bullseye, Pentagram, Pirate Radio, Snakes and Ladders, and Tutankhamun.
Realistic will use their own ReGaL server to deliver the games through OpenBet’s Remote Gaming Interface. In addition, the deal also includes the provision of some flash games for Paddy Power’s online casinos in Ireland and UK.
According to press communication by Realistic Games, the company ‘fought off stiff competition’ to nab the Paddy Power deal.
Andy Harris, the company’s commercial director placed the move in a larger context. “This fits in perfectly with our strategy of partnering with industry-leading operators around the world and they don’t come any bigger or better than Paddy Power,” said Harris.
He also added that Paddy Power was “very much aligned with us in terms of our focus on mobile and belief that the channel is the key to future success in iGaming. I’m confident this will be a great deal for both parties.”
Paddy’s Mobile Games Manager Lucinda Kelly also praised the cooperation. “We’re very excited about the new mobile games and very pleased to have partnered with Realistic Games. Their passion, product knowledge and understanding of the industry were crucial in our decision to select them and I’m convinced our customers are going to love the games,” said Kelly.
Although Paddy Power’s main activity is to offer sports betting under British and Irish gambling laws, they have been increasingly diversifying their online portfolio to tap into different segments of the gambling market.
