  • Next race of the 2021 NASCAR season is held at Martinsville Speedway, Virginia
  • The event is the first evening race of the season
  • Martin Truex Jr. won here last year and he is the top favorite again
The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series continues this weekend with the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 race at Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia. Denny Hamlin leads the overall standing and belongs to the main favorites of this race as well. But last year’s race winner, Martin Truex Jr. leads the odds in the NASCAR Martinsville Blue-Emu betting predictions.  The first race was held in 1950 at the Martinsville Speedway, which has the shortest track of the series. The race on Saturday night will consist of 500 laps with Joey Logano starting from the pole position. Martin Truex Jr. won the race here last year but we can find several other former winners of this year’s starting list. Like the current series leader Denny Hamlin who has already won here on three occasions. Or Brad Keselowski who crossed the line first twice in the last four years. This will be the 8th race of the season with seven different winners so far. But there is a huge chance now that someone can get their second victory of the season. At least according to the bookmakers tips.

NASCAR Martinsville Blue-Emu betting predictions favor last year’s winners

Martin Truex Jr. is currently in third place in the championship with one win and another podium finish. The  2017 NASCAR Cup Series champion only finished 19th in the previous race but he can easily get back to winning in Martinsville. Where he won here last spring just like the previous fall. Following his great results online sportsbooks in the US favor his victory again with the odds of +500. Truex Jr. only finished 7th at the end of last year, but he is surely aiming for a better result now.

Let's race!
The defending series champion, Chase Elliott is also in the top favorites with the odds of +600. He won the last race here in a thrilling style back in November which also helped him to win his first title. Now Elliott can go for his first victory of this season in Martinsville. Where he had three top-five finishes from his last four appearances. The Hendrick Motorsports driver hasn’t been as convincing this year so far, so would definitely need a good result here.

Other former winners of the track

We can find several other drivers with a win from this track in the still active racers. Like Brad Keselowski who won here in 2017 and 2019. He has the odds of +650 in the NASCAR Martinsville Blue-Emu betting predictions to do it again. The runner-up of the 2020 championship is currently in fifth place in the standings with three top-five finishes. He hasn’t got any win yet though, which might change this weekend in one of his favorite tracks. Online gambling sites in the US also mention the current overall leader, Denny Hamlin in the favorites. Hamlin is the most consistent driver of the season so far, with only one finish outside the top five. He is also without a win yet, but it might be his turn this time. Especially as the Joe Gibbs Racing driver has already got three victories from this race. His odds to win for the fourth time is +650 on BetOnline. While the winner of the previous race in Bristol, Joey Logano can also get the win. He is just behind Hamlin in the overall standing at the moment and driving well this season. The 2018 series champion hasn’t won here yet, but got five top 10 finishes making him a real contender with the odds of +750.
