New Polish Gambling Laws in the Works

Lawmakers are working on a bill that would introduce new Polish gambling laws, including the legalization of online poker and sports betting.

Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin announced that the government is composing a Polish gambling bill that would create regulation framework as well as legalize sports betting and online poker in the future. Gowin said to the Polish Radio, that the liberalization of Polish gambling laws would allow money to flow back into the budget. The European Commission has already approved the supposed changes, he confirmed. Under the new Polish gambling laws, slot machines would be operated by the state-owned lottery and future amendments or bills would create a safe regulatory framework for sports betting and online poker.
