Poker Rebel doesn’t name its software and licensing jurisdiction.

Costa Rica-based online poker site Poker Rebel started promoting itself over the internet in September this year. However, the poker site did not state anything regarding the software it uses. Poker Rebel does not display its licensing jurisdiction, therefore it is not known which gambling laws are applicable for the site.

The Che Guevara-themed site launched offering real money gambling a few weeks ago. Functions are available in English and Brazilian Portuguese versions.

Poker Rebel site welcomes US online poker players. However, customers began posting messages and inquires about the software, prompting the company to respond: "We'll launch a completely new interface soon."

The company also issued a press release to the American gambling news claiming: "With a mind blowing interface coming up really soon, mobile poker and great new features, Rebel is developing heavily in order to reach our goal, which is to become one of the best networks in the industry."

Poker Rebel offers Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Stud poker variations in both tournament and cash formats. Online Hold'em poker is available in Fixed Limit, Pot Limit and No Limit versions.

As said before, no one knows which software the site utilizes, or under which regulation it operates. Also, it is questionable why are they re-launching just weeks after the debut.

Wonder what would Che say all about this...
