After a soft start last week and the necessary technical approval was granted by New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, PokerStars open in New Jersey for the public.

PokerStars open in New Jersey for the public after a test period last week. This means that Amaya’s poker operation returns to the US after five years of absence. Originally Amaya hoped for a return in 2015 but it was postponed to 2016 and the new launching date was announced in February. PokerStars open in New Jersey is not only big news for those who play online poker in the US but for those who enjoy online casino games too.

PokerStars’ Garden State operation also features online casino games like slots, blackjack, roulette and baccarat, so it’s a rather comprehensive online gambling website. But the main thing will naturally be the list of online poker rooms and poker tournaments like the ‘Spin & Go’.

The news about PokerStars open in New Jersey was commented by Amaya chairman and chief executive, David Baazov. He said, “We could not be more proud to bring PokerStars to New Jersey; working with our partner, Resorts Casino Hotel, we look forward to providing the most exciting, innovative and secure gaming experience to New Jersey.”

NYX Gaming will provide a list of online casino games for PokerStars. NYX CEO Matt Davey also spoke about the PokerStars open in New Jersey news. He said, “It’s great to see PokerStars launching in New Jersey with over 20 titles from our studio NextGen; this is part of our six-year licensing agreement with Amaya, and follows the successful launch of our games on PokerStars’ global online casino.”

PokerStars’ director of casino Sam Hobcraft added, “NextGen slots have proven to be very popular with our customers in Europe and so we are pleased to be able to offer these games in New Jersey.”
