Rousey beat Correia and once again reasserts her dominance in the Octagon.

For those who aren’t familiar with her prominence, Ronda Rousey is a mixed martial artist who was the first UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and the latest Strikeforce Womens’s Bantamweight Champion. The undefeated champion was also the first American woman to win a medal in Judo at the Olympic games in Beijin in 2008. In UFC 190 in Brazil, Rousey beat Correia in 34 seconds making US gambling news.
● Rousey is the UFC and Strikeforce Womens’s Bantamweight Champion
● Rousey is also an actress who starred in Expedables 3 and Furious 7
● Rousey defeated Bethe Correia in 34 seconds in UFC 190 last Friday

Rousey, who was in the film Expendable 3 and appeared Furious 7, was the overwhelming favorite in the championship bout. The undefeated champion has only had one fight last past the first round. Bethe Correia was undefeated with 9 victories. The Brazilian seemed like the best bet yet against a fighter who’s only spent 25 minutes in the Octagon her entire career.“Rowdy” Ronda is quickly running out of suitable opponents.

It isn’t any surprise by the stats that Rousey beat Correia

Unfortuately, Rousey has really never had an opponent who had a remote chance of beating her. Correia is a decent fighter who has rightfully earned her UFC record, but she hasn’t “dominated” anyone. Out of the 9 fights prior to when Rousey beat Correia, she won 7 by decision 1 by knockout. By watching fights such as this, it is quickly understood that Correia was simply in the ring because nobody else could be found.

She has tried acting as well, in an action movie of course – The Expendables 3

Rousey did provide some intrigue for punters as she tried to keep in suspense how and when she would win. She openly said that she may “toy” with Correia out of punishment. Normally, Rousey is known for her “armbar” submission hold for which she’s been affectionately called “the arm collector.” A few punters may have taken the bait and waged money on a “victory by fisticuffs” but most ignored it.

Since there are only two ways to win without decision, punters shouldn’t have too much of a profound decision to make. If Rousey tried to when by striking, as she did, then Correia should have had a bit more time to react. Most of Rousey’s fights are brief due to her quick submission holds. Some critics have joked that Rousey’s entrance walks into the Octagon take more time than her actual fights.

In Rio, Rousey made Brazilian gambling news, as she hurried out into the Octogon. In that brief time, Rousey refused to simply rush Correia and pin her to the fence, put her down and separate her joints. Instead, Rousey wanted to “duke it out” and went to the middle and probably gave a striker like Correia the fight she may have hoped for. After 30 seconds, Correia probably wished Rousey implemented her more standard strategy.

Excitement was added in the way Rousey beat Correia

Rousey started the fight swinging and Correia continued the fight running. The “beast was let out of its cage” and Correia kept up the retreat until Rousey was able to connect with a left hook and a knee to the mid-section. After Rousey finished with a clean right punch, Correia’s escape ended as she went face down on the floor. For a woman who has won 9 out 11 times by submission, her third knockout was very satisfying to fans.

Apparently Correia taunted Rousey, whose father committed suicide by saying “don’t cry”. Bad idea. As a result, she got the same message back after 34 seconds

Rousey has been able to secure a solid and growing fan base among young people as well. Although this bout didn’t start until later and was met with an exhaustive list of Brazilian mixed martial artists making up the prelims, Rousey’s victory proved to be worth the wait. Unlike many fighters, in boxing or MMA, Rousey is able to give her fights the aura of something special every time she steps in the ring even though she’s always hopelessly under matched.

As heartfelt as she is, it’s a matter of time before fans will tire of paying USD 60 a pop to watch this “one-woman show” humiliate her opponents. Those candidates are running thin. Currently Holly Holm may show promise, but without proper seasoning and development, a bout with Rousey would prove tragic. Since Rousey beat Correia, she has disposed of all the top 5 contenders with a chance only to rematch Meisha Tate.

Many are anticipating a dream match between Rousey and Cristiane Justino. Although the champion for Invicta would have to drop to a lower weight division, Rousey’s popularity might create a high enough gate for Justino to try. Rousey may not want to face the 145-pound champ whose been convicted for steroid use. Perhaps Rousey should temporarily retire until someone worthy enough can emerge who can guarantee a fight more suitable for gambling news.
