The South Africa national team is under pressure after a sports minister Springboks warning was issued following their upsetting loss against Japan.

Japan beating South Africa 34-32 was the big and only surprise in the opening weekend of the 2015 Rugby World Cup. It shocked many online betting players around the world and it was gambling porn for those, who went against the odds and favoured Japan. And it was a torture to watch for those, who wagered on them and who supported them.

The South African sports minister issued a warning for the side that failed against Japan. He criticized the team selection and even said that the team will look like a “bunch of losers” if they won’t reach the knockout stages of the tournament.

Harsh words in the sports minister Springboks warning

South African sports minister Mbalula

Mbalula is disappoint
Fikile Mbalula addressed national team coach Heyneke Meyer and the whole team in the sports minister Springboks warning. He said, “Mr Heyneke Meyer and your team: please represent South Africa and make us proud. What I saw was not the Springboks I know.”

He revealed, “I phoned the coach and I told him: ‘we are a nation of fighters.’ Next game I want to see the Springboks otherwise they will be nothing else but a bunch of losers, who failed to represent the country.” Mbalula used the same words to criticize the South Africa national football team after they failed to qualify from their group on home soil at the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.

Springboks are favourites against Samoa

The Springboks are favorites, surely, but careful after what happened against Japan

The Springboks will face Samoa on Saturday and they are strong favourites according to online gambling sites once again. For example, BetVictor Sportsbook< priced their success only at 1.02 (1/40). However, they have the best internet betting odds around for another upset, as Samoa is available at 13.00 (12/1). An unlikely draw goes for 26.00 (25/1).

Confident players can back the Springboks for a handicap victory – they are 1.91 (10/11) with -21 – but I wouldn’t risk that with all this pressure on the team. I would rather browse the first scoring play – a South Africa penalty for 2.75 (11/4) is tempting – and team to score first markets. South Africa for 1.36 (4/11) on the latter could be equally safe and reasonable.
