A Bizarre Sport - Buzkashi

It’s a popular sport mostly in Central Asia since Buzkashi is Afghanistan’s national sport. If you have seen the third Rambo movie, you might remember this sport since Rambo joined a game. It is similar to a polo game with one brutal exception: instead of a ball, the players chase and hit a dead goat. The purpose of the game is for the players to get the corpse across the field past the goal line. As you can see, we wouldn’t call it a friendly sport or a nice afternoon program.  Other than the violent nature of the game, it requires extraordinary stamina from the riders as well as the horses. The players control the horses with whips, as they often get aggressive in the heat of the battle. If you love animals, you probably wouldn’t enjoy this violent game. It’s another unnecessarily rough sport with bizarre scenes, so it’s not for the faint-hearted. However, if you are curious, check it out at 22BET Sportsbook or find more of the most bizarre sports ever!

Unnecessarily Rough Sports - Kila

Kila is a Russian sport, supposedly dating back to the 12th century. It's a mix of rugby, MMA, and wrestling, so it’s pretty rough. The players can tackle each other to the ground at any time and pass the ball in every direction. The straw ball is covered with leather and weighs one and a half kilos. There are five players on each team, and back in the day, they played this unnecessarily rough sport at weddings, fairs, etc.  The aim is to run or dive with the ball into the opposite team’s zone, the gorod, and the successful attack is called capture gorod. That’s similar to rugby, but the other part is similar to MMA. According to the rules at online sportsbook sites in the US, the players are allowed to push, punch, hold each other in a chokehold, and tackle. The game consists of two halves and depending on the rules, each lasts until three or five captures. There are various versions, like when they have to somehow put the ball into a tire at the end of the opposite team’s half. All in all, it’s a brutal sport.

Unnecessarily Rough Sport - Face Slapping

Well, if you have not seen a face-slapping match before, you should at least once. It’s a totally unnecessarily rough sport if you can call it that. The rules are strict! Several judges supervise each slap, measure the distance of the competitors and tilt their heads in the proper way. These events are quite a big deal. The vibe is similar to wrestling and darts matches. There are even famous guests. For example, Arnold Schwarzenegger visited the championship this year and saw everything from up close.

Sometimes, when they slap each other too hard or don’t protect themselves well, they can even get knocked out. It’s weird and bizarre to watch a big, hunky guy crumple to the ground from a slap. However, do not imagine simple slaps. These are slaps on steroids. There are women’s and men’s categories and different weight classes. There are three rounds, and every competitor can give one hit in each one with a mouthguard and ear protection in place. Check out a match at online sportsbook sites in the US!

Shin-Kicking is a Traditional Sport!

A kick to the shin is not only a childhood habit, but it has a rich history in England. Supposedly, shin-kicking dates back to the ancient Olympic Games, which got revived in 17th-century England. There is an annual championship in Chipping Campden. The competitions are held on a summer day, in front of thousands of spectators. Whoever wins the tournament at the Cotswold Olympic Games becomes the world champion.  In the 17th century, shepherds settled disagreements with shin-kicking, and later it spread among miners as well. To cope better with the monotony of their work with a fun activity, which was kicking each other apparently. The point of the competition is that the opponents stand facing each other, holding each other’s shoulders, and after the referee gives the signal to start, they start kicking the shins.  Only the hit below the knee is valid, and the goal is to kick the other’s shin until one of them hits the ground. Back in the day, the match ended when a leg broke. Ouch! Luckily, these days, protective gear is allowed. Usually, competitors stuff their pants and knee socks with straw or even put a thick layer on the outside of the pants. Of course, there are people who choose to participate in shin-kicking unprotected. Check these people out at 22BET Sportsbook!

Ice Climbing for Extreme Sport Lovers

It’s a brutal sport, but not in the same sense as the others. Ice climbing is a unique type of climbing, but it's rough! The athletes climb ice of different sizes and shapes, or a surface covered with ice, typically with a rope belay. There are two types, alpine or mixed climbing and water ice climbing. In the case of the former, the rock covered with ice is the terrain, but in the case of the latter, they climb on frozen streams and waterfalls. Water ice climbing is considered more difficult and also more varied since there are no two terrains that are the same due to the melting of the ice.  The difficulty of climbing depends on the quality of the ice, the steepness, the accessibility of the site, and the weather conditions. However, it is worth the experience when, for example, you can climb a frozen waterfall. Beginners can get to know the genre safely at many locations, but you can only go on a tour in groups. Ice climbing is one of the more difficult extreme sports, you should not attempt it if you are not in excellent shape and in good health for your own safety, but it also requires some experience in mountain climbing. Where should we go? For instance, you can find suitable terrains in many European countries, including the Julian Alps and some Austrian, French, and Italian ski resorts. Though, if you take a look at online sportsbook sites in the US, you will find locations. You can rent equipment at most places, but the trip and purchasing of the equipment can cost some money, as you need to purchase ice carts, climbing ropes, ice screws, snow nails, helmets, carabiners, straps, gloves, and special shoes.
