The Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, home to the 45th annual World Series of Poker, is setting up a 500-foot zipline.

Starting this Sunday, adrenaline-seeking tourists will be able to get on the VooDoo Zipline, which takes passengers from one tower to the other. The new attraction opens just in time for this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP), which will bring thousands of professional players to one of the largest American poker rooms at Rio.

The project was announced last May and took around one year to complete. According to local gambling news, the zipline goes from the Rio’s 51-story Masquerade Tower to the 20-story Ipanema Tower. It is about a third of a mile long. A ride on the VooDoo Zipline will set you back $27.49 if you jump on it before 5:30 p.m. and $42.50 after.

WSOP kicks off Tuesday

The 45th annual poker tournament runs between May 27 and July 14 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. It offers a $10 million guaranteed prize for the winner of the main event.

“There is real optimism 2014 can be our biggest year yet with an anticipated $200 million in prize money to be paid out this summer,” WSOP director Ty Stewart said.

“With new satellites and daily tournaments exclusively on WSOP.com and a plethora of side events, there is more reason than ever to make the trip to poker Mecca.”
