Jason Wheeler, pro poker player won the World Poker Tour Amsterdam High Roller, after defeating Jack Salter.

online gambling sites in Australia report Jason Wheeler’s triumph over 52 entries in the World Poker Tour Amsterdam High Roller. He scored EUR 125,000 after betting EUR 6,000 and took the first prize after beating his heads-up opponent, Jack Salter. The British Salter won the European Poker Award (of the Global Poker Index) in 2014 for Breakout Player of the Year. Salter started off with an advantage, which he lost and could not get back.

This was the second largest live score in Wheeler’s career

The luxury casino in Amsterdam was buzzing with excitement. Jason Wheeler is usually more present on online gambling platforms, where he has thus far won more than AUD 6.4 million from some of the biggest poker pros this world has ever seen. He describes his entry into the tournament as a haphazard event, “I see a great High Roller tournament in the Holland Casino, and I love playing there, so I hop in after three hours sleep.”

So, instead of playing online poker, he chose Dutch poker rooms. Undoubtedly, his nonchalant decision did in fact, prove to be a great one in the end: he beat Jack Salter by EUR 35,000. The difference between the scores of bronze medalist Misel Draganic and Wheeler amounted to a mighty EUR 69,000. We can safely say that Jack Wheeler is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to poker, be it online or live.
