2020 Olympic skateboarding features 40 skaters in each category, with male and female athletes competing in separate events. Here is all that you need to know about the best skaters at the men’s events. At the Park event, we will enjoy the best performances in spins and tricks mid-air. Whereas in the Street event, skaters will perform at stairs, handrails, benches, walls, etc. that mimic a real street.

Skateboarding competitions will start with the street event between 25 – 26 July. The Park event will follow on 04 and 05 August. As online sportsbook news sites in Japan reported the two categories are different in their own way. But, the 2020 Olympic skateboarding bets have a similar type of predicting who will win and who will finish among the top three. Here are your male skateboarding favorites in each category.

Japan and US skaters to dominate the Street event

To no surprise, online sportsbooks in Japan expect the street event to be dominated by athletes from the United States and Japan. Three skaters will likely have a strong showing including Nyjah Huston, Yuto Horigome, and Sora Shirai.

Nyjah Huston looks to make history in Tokyo

The 26-year-old Nyjah Huston is on top of the men’s standings and he is the highest-paid skateboarder in the world. He is a celebrity in the world of skateboarding with more than 4.6 million followers on Instagram. His fame meets his breathtaking performances all around the world. What is more, Huston has four titles in his name in World Championships. Will he make history in Tokyo? His odds at 22BET Sportsbooks say yes he can probably do it at a 1.94 value.

Yuto Horigome will try to bring up cheers at home

The 22-year-old Japanese skater is the second-best in the world. His recent successes include the runner-up place at the World Championships in 2019. However, at the qualifiers in Rome, Horigome was very close to dethrone Huston. So, if he performs at the highest level in Tokyo he might win it all with 2.91 odds.

Sore Shirai is third-best in the world

Another Japanese skater with insane street skills and a lot of tricks in his pocket is Sore Shirai. He proved to be a serious threat when he climbed from the bottom to get seventh place in the London Olympic qualifier. He then went to finish third at the World Championships in June. His value is 7.6 to win gold. But if you want to make a more safe 2020 Olympic skateboarding bet you may choose him to finish among the top three at 3.24.

Reynolds and Juneau the favorites in the Park event

The Park event will also be likely dominated by talented skaters from the United States. There are two names that stand out and they are Heimana Reynolds and Cory Juneau. The two skaters have a very real chance to bring a gold medal home.

Heimana Reynolds is no. 1 in the United States

If you look to place 2020 Olympic skateboarding bets on the top favorite, then Reynolds is your guy. He has an undeniable talent who is ranked number one in the United States. Reynolds comes from a skating family that owns and operates a skatepark and skate school. So, he is not only well trained but also skateboarding is his lifestyle. His odds are 3.04 to win.

Cory Juneau won the Dew Tour twice

Reynolds’ closest rival is Juneau from San Diego. He has been quietly killing it, winning the Dew Tour back-to-back in 2017 and 2018. Later in 2019, he took second place. So, should Reynolds face a setback Juneau will have a great chance at 4.04. But, you may also bet on Juneau to finish among the top three with a 1.73 value.
