The 2020-2021 Davis Cup will reach its climax in the next two weeks with the Finals, where the qualified 18 teams will compete. These teams are divided into six groups of three. With the group winners reaching the knockout stage along with the two best second-placed teams. This is the 109th edition of the cup where national men’s tennis teams fight for victory. The team of the United States has won the title the most times, on 32 occasions. While Spain is the defending champion after defeating Canada 2-0 in the final in 2019. The event was postponed last year to 2021 but will take place now in three different locations. The final will be held in Madrid on the 5th of December where Spanish fans hope to see their favorites again.

2021 Davis Cup Winner Odds Mention RTF Ahead of Serbia and Spain

The Russian Tennis Federation’s team will include world No2 Daniil Medvedev and world No5 Andrey Rublev. Besides two more top 30 players, Aslan Karatsev and Karen Khachanov. Looks like a very strong team so it’s not surprising that even online sportsbooks in Spain offer the smallest odds, 2.20 for their victory. Russia has won the Davis Cup twice before, in 2002 and 2006. While in the last tournament they reached the semi-finals after knocking out Serbia. They will be in the same group as Spain, just like two years ago. But RTF has a much better chance of winning their group now.

As the defending champions won’t have Rafael Nadal in their team after he is struggling with injuries. Spain has other great players to compete with though. Like world No20 Pablo Carreno Busta and the winner of the 2021 Next Gen tournament, Carlos Alcaraz. But without Nadal, it is definitely a weaker team. They still have the odds of 7.00 in the 2021 Davis Cup winner odds to get their 7th title. While the world No1, Novak Djokovic will try to lead Serbia to their second win. They are in a group with Germany and Austria, so winning the group shouldn’t cause too much trouble for them. Especially as Alexander Zverev won’t play in the German team this time. Serbia’s odds to go all the way and win the tournament are 5.00 on bet365.

Italy, the US, and The UK in Other Possible Winners

The United States has been the most successful country in the tournament’s history with 9 wins since 1972. But they got their last victory 14 years ago, in 2007. While their team didn’t even reach the knockout stage last time. Now they can try to get a better result with John Isner, Reilly Opelka, and Frances Tiafoe in the team. All of them are in great form this year but they won’t have an easy job against Italy in the group. Whose team also have strong players like world No10 Jannik Sinner and Fabio Fognini. Though their highly ranked player, world No7 Matteo Berrettini is out due to injury.

Online gambling sites in Spain mention both the Italian and the US teams in the favorites with the odds of 9.00 and 10.00. Similar odds are offered for the victory of the UK who won the event once so far, in 2015. They reached the semi-finals last time after knocking out Germany in the quarter-finals. Now their team including Cameron Norrie and Dan Evans will face France and the Czech Republic in the group stage. While they can meet Serbia or Germany again in the knockout stage. Some people might miss the finalists of the previous edition, Canada from the list. Well, they only have the odds of 34.00 to win the cup as none of their top players will compete now.
