The British Academy of Films and Television Arts is a prestigious award show and a world-leading independent arts charity. It has been around since 1947 and is usually held around March every year. It's also an opportunity for some of the best international talent to make their breakthrough in the film industry. While it mainly focuses on UK creative talent, there are also multiple categories dedicated to foreign and international film persona. In this article, we'll focus on the Best Film category at the 2022 BAFTAs. We are going to cover the 2022 BAFTA nominee predictions for the Best Film award. On 12 January BAFTA revealed the longlist for the 2022 EE British Academy Film Awards. The longlist is a round that was first introduced in 2021 and follows Round One of the voting. Near-Guaranteed 2022 BAFTA Nominee Predictions For Best Film

Belfast, King Richard, The Power of the Dog, and West Side Story are almost guarantees to go through this round and receive nominations. Many think that these four movies are among the best this year and they already received nominations in multiple award shows like the Oscars and the Golden Globes. Licorice Pizza and tick tick... BOOM! are another story as both of these received nominations before but only one of them can get into the five BAFTA nominees. It's really hard to choose because Being the Ricardos and The Tragedy of Macbeth are also heavily favored films, especially when taking a closer look at the story and supporting cast. We'll know the official five nominees on 3 February but the voting already ends on 27 January. Featuring the generational talent of Andrew Garfield, the film is a real tear-jerker and has been popular in the media for a long time. The musical has received over 80 nominations so far, including two Golden Globe nominations and a win in the Best Actor Award in a Musical or Comedy. There’s no telling if either Licorice Pizza or tick tick…BOOM! will make it into the 5 BAFTA nominees. There’s even a chance that both of these films will receive a nomination. While both are great films in their way, chances of either of these making it as a 2022 BAFTA Best Film nominee are a little low. No Time to Die is the last Craig Bond movie which already means a great deal. However, seeing how similar movies performed in the past it’s unlikely that it will be in the top five.
