  • 2022 MotoGP Aragon Grand Prix is held this weekend, 16-19 September
  • Last year’s race winner, Francesco Bagnaia can win his 5th race in a row
  • Fabio Quartararo still leads the championship but his lead is only 30 points now

The 15th race of the current MotoGP season, the 2022 Aragon Grand Prix is held this weekend, 16-18 September at MotorLand Aragon. Francesco Bagnaia won the race last season and he is the top favorite again in the 2022 MotoGP Aragon race odds. It’s not surprising based on his recent form and winning four races in a row. The championship leader Fabio Quartararo and his main chasers, Aleix Espargaro and Enea Bastianini won’t have an easy job to stop him for sure.

The first Aragon Grand Prix was held in 2010 at MotorLand Aragon. It became the sixth Spanish circuit that has hosted the MotoGP championship. Marc Marquez has the most wins in the rink with 5 victories. While Francesco Bagnaia won the race here last year. The Italian has been unstoppable in the last four races. Thanks to his win, he moved to second place in the standings, only 30 points behind the leader Fabio Quartararo. Surely both of them will fight for the win in the last European race before the circuit moves to Asia. There are only six races remaining from the season, making the fight for the lead and the podium even more desperate. Spanish fans can also see their favorite, 8-time champion, Marc Marquez, back in the race. Though his physical condition is still a big question after he comes back from a four-month break.

2022 MotoGP Aragon Race Odds Expect Another Win from Bagnaia

Online sportsbooks in Spain mention Francesco Bagnaia as the biggest favorite to win in Aragon. They offer the smallest odds, 2.50 for his victory. The Ducati rider won the last four races in a row and stands in second place in the championship. He is also the defending champion of this race. So Italian fans can look forward to another great performance from Pecco. The 25-year-old finished as a runner-up in the overall standings last year, but he is still with a chance of winning the title in 2022.

2022 MotoGP Aragon race odds

His main rival is the current championship leader and reigning champion, Fabio Quartararo. The Yamaha rider has been very consistent throughout the season and finished in the top 10 in all of his races. Except for the Dutch race where he had to retire. But Quartararo couldn’t keep up with Bagnaia in the last three events and seems to lack the pace of the Ducatis. El Diablo finished only 8th in Aragon last year, which is not a promising sign either. But the French rider has superb skills that can lead him to the top. At least according to the 2022 MotoGP Aragon race odds, which mention him next among the favorites with an odds of 5.45.

Aprilia and other Ducati riders will also aim for a good finish

Aleix Espargaro is currently in third place, only three points behind Bagnaia and 33 behind Quartararo. The Aprilia rider only won one race in the season, back in April in Argentina. But he finished all of his races and has stood on the podium four times. In recent weeks he hasn’t been able to do it though. On home soil, surely Espargaro will aim for a better result if his injury won’t prevent him from doing so. He was 4th here last season. Now his odds to win the race are 6.00 on online gambling sites in Spain.

His teammate, Maverick Vinales has been in better form recently after finishing in the top three on three occasions. He is still well behind, only in 8th place, but might get another good result. Just like another Ducati rider, Enea Bastianini who finished second in the previous race in San Marino. He couldn’t finish four races in 2022, so consistency might be a problem for the 24-year-old Italian. His odds are 7.00 to get his fourth win of the season. Probably one of the most awaited moments for Spanish fans will be the reappearance of Marc Marquez. The eight-time world champion hasn’t raced since Mugello in May, so a win is not expected from him. (It has an odds of 14.50 on 22Bet). Even though he has been the most successful in the race’s history with 5 wins.
