Unlike the world-ranking leader Iga Swiatek who is the top favorite in the 2022 WTA Finals odds.

The WTA Finals are held in the USA for the first time in seventeen years after all tournaments in China have been suspended this year. The eight highest-ranked women players take part in the season-ending event at Fort Worth. They are divided into two groups of four and compete in a round-robin event, with the first two players from each group advancing to the semi-finals.

Spanish Garbine Muguruza won the tournament last year. But she couldn’t qualify in 2022 after she fell back to 57th place in the world rankings. None of the current participants have won this tournament before so fans can surely welcome a new winner. And hope for local success after two US players are also with a chance of winning the title.

The 2022 WTA Finals Odds Hugely Favor the World No1, Iga Swiatek

Iga Swiatek has had an amazing season after winning eight tournaments so far including two majors, the French and the US Opens. She is leading the world ranking with a massive lead and can crown her year with a win in Texas now. Online sportsbooks in Poland offer the smallest odds, 1.80 for her victory.

Swiatek won 37 consecutive matches in the first half of the season until she was beaten by Alize Cornet in Wimbledon. But the Polish talent got back to form in the autumn and won her third major tournament in New York. She also won in San Diego two weeks ago, confirming her strength on the hard court.

According to the 2022 WTA Finals odds, Aryna Sabalenka can be her biggest rival who has an odds of 6.50 to win the event. Even though she is only in 7th place in the world rankings, and hasn’t won any title this season. But the Belarusian player got to the semi-finals in the US Open and also reached the semi-final in Rome and in Cincinnati. And the quarter-final in San Diego.

Just like Swiatek, she will make her second appearance in the Finals. But she didn’t have the best start after losing her first match against Ons Jabeur. The Tunisian player was close to winning her first major title in Wimbledon and in New York. But she lost both finals. She has been playing in great form all season and can perform well on her WTA Finals debut. With an odd of 11.00 to win it.

Garcia, Sakkari, and the US Favorites

Caroline Garcia had a great summer after winning in Cincinnati and reaching the semi-final in the US Open. But the French world No6 hasn’t been playing in the same form since. She did win her first match here against Coco Gauff. And has an odds of 7.00 to win. Maria Sakkari also won her first match against Jessica Pegula in two very tight sets.

The Greek player took revenge for her recent defeat. As the American beat her in the final of the 2022 Guadalajara Open. It was Sakkari’s second WTA 1000 final in the season after finishing as a runner-up in Indian Wells. The world No5 has been struggling qualified for the WTA Finals for the second time after reaching the semi-finals last year. Now online gambling sites in Poland offer the odds of 9.00 for her win.

Two US players, Jessica Pegula and Cori Gauff have made their debuts in the event, but their victory would be a small surprise. In spite of both players achieving some great results this season. As Pegula won her first WTA 1000 title in Mexico last month and also reached the semi-final in San Diego, Toronto, and Miami. She moved to third place in the world rankings, which is her career-high ranking. But after losing against Sakkari, it will be a tough job to qualify from her group.

Her compatriot, Gauff had a similar start to this tournament after losing her first match against Caroline Garcia. The young American reached the final in Paris and the quarterfinals in the US Open. Gauff had been very consistent throughout the season, but she couldn’t win any event. Her odds to do so now are 13.00 on bet365.
