2023 Figure Skating Betting Guide: Top Events to Follow

With the 2022/23 figure skating season reaching its equator, it is important to remind FS fans about the next competitions. In this guide, we take a look at the key dates on the 2023 FS calendar, including the upcoming international competitions in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

World Figure Skating Championships

Japan is getting ready to host the 2023 World Figure Skating Championships. The annual ISU competition will be held at Saitama Super Arena from March 20-26, 2023. The International Skating Union will give the full list of participating figure skaters next year. However, there are some suggestions about competitors that definitely can or cannot make it to Japan.  Foremost, WFS champions Shoma Uno and Kaori Sakamoto are predicted to defend their titles in their home country in March. Most online sportsbooks in Japan positively evaluate their chances of placing high in Saitama. Then, figure skaters from Russia and Belarus will probably skip next year's WFS, like they did last time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKnw4nbiyl0 Information about all other participants will be announced in 2023. Find the full schedule for the upcoming event in the table below.

European Figure Skating Championships

The 2023 European Figure Skating Championships is one of the first major competitions that will take place next year. It is scheduled for January 25-29, 2023. Finland’s Espoo Metro Arena is the one to host the EFSC and dozens of major European figure skating stars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q47bOzfthf4&t=4s Last year, Russian figure skaters won gold medals in all four disciplines. Kamila Valieva and Mark Kondratiuk finished first in women's singles and men's singles, respectively. Also, Mishina & Galliamov dominated in pairs, while Sinitsina & Katsalapov were the best in ice dance. However, all the defending champions won’t come to Espoo due to ISU’s ban for all Russian athletes. Hence, the final list of participants will be out in early January. Odds on favorites and outsiders will be available at 888sport. Following our ultimate 2023 figure skating betting guide, here is a full schedule for the upcoming EFSC in Finland.
